TB is lucky it's not 27-3 or 23-3. Akers dropped the ball before he got dropped on his head at the 1 yd line.

Figured it would look like this. Go Rams... be hard for the Niners to beat them 3 times, though.

How is Jimmie G got 0 TD's and 2 INT's so far and 2 W's??

Gonna gettum tomorrow morning. Super excited.

Once I put them back into the cabinets, gonna go down to storage and pick up the rest of my stereo equipment, including the rack. As they say, "We're getting the band back together." I can't wait to listen to my JBLs again!

I know my wife won't be exactly thrilled, especially when I crank up some Allman Brothers at Fillmore East but she knows I'mma music guy and been waiting for this day for quite a while.

I pulled my subs and amps out of my truck when I tried to trade it in. Driving components with the head unit 4x45w and no subs is hurting my soul. I had 4x70w for the highs and 900w to dual 10" JL 10TW3's.

Landed safely in snowstorm at O'Hare. Took 2 hours to drive home.

Got home to about 8-10" snow in the driveway. Took a while to shovel, but at least it was light powdery snow.

We'd woken up at 4am Florida time (3a here) to get on the 7am flight. Everyone tired n cranky, so we all took naps and now waiting for our traditional post vacation pizza to be ready for pickup.

Had a good time down there, and my parents surprisingly said they'd consider flying again in the future. They've not flown since 1980. Their only complaint was I booked our rooms too high up (7th floor for the view) they wouldn't even open the curtains...

The only way the Rams can get more conservative on offense is a first down punt.

Unreal. Rams deserved that win and damn near gave it away. Whew!

49ers got a tough matchup. Gonna be hard to beat the same team 3 times in a season. Especially with Jimmy G playing like a turd.

^ True, but the defense is outstanding. I think Stafford can now know that he's great and Detroit sucks. Those last 2 throws were money under almost as much stress/pressure as possible. 3 games won with a last second field goal, amazing.

You don't have to use PTO for the time off?

Someone else had said something like that to me, they automatically get 2 weeks paid leave if they test positive. So he visited the free county test site every week until positive. But that was pre-vaccine.

If I get sick, regardless of the cause, it comes out of my PTO bank. Only 5 consecutive days are excused for covid. Beyond that you accrue attendance points as unexcused absence.

Dan, Your employer is a p.o.s. if that is how they treat "front line" workers who come in contact with infected patients as part of their job. My wife works "front-line" in a healthcare facility owned by a hospital chain. Everyone gets paid sick days if they catch covid. Get out of there!!!

Although I missed most of the LAR - TB game, I managed to catch the last 4 minutes of it. Didn’t think the Rams could blow it but man, they sure tried. Ultimately though, the fact that they somehow got down the field with only 42 seconds left and then got the GW FG will be the highlight of the MMQB talk.

Well, that and whether or not ARodg retires or not. d'oh!

I agree with Robert, Pretty raw on how they treat you, Dan.

Wally World pays 1 week full pay, no questions asked. Here's the Walmart policy in a nutshell.

https://one.walmart.com/content/dam/us-wire-wm1/documents/company/community/emergency-disaster-preparedness/covid-19/Emergency_Leave_FAQ.pdf

I've called out from work probably twice in my adult life due to illness. Wait... I took a week off from work when I lopped off half of my thumb but that's not a real illness... it falls into the bucket called "Just let me rip this piece of lumber on the table saw that we removed all safety guards and stuff... ouch.. that thing that just flew over my shoulder is part of my thumb... if you can find it, the might be able to sew it back on" (I think there's a FAQ on that topic in the appendix of the owner's manual).

I've taken sick days when the kids were sick as toddlers and hosts for any virus out there but that's sort of SOP.

Other than that I remember one day when I had a wicked fever maybe 25 years ago. Sweating, cold, sweating, cold... Stuck in bed watching B&W because it was what the TV channel was set to and I couldn't find the remote... I was glued to the TV watching Citizen Kane, Casablanca... Without the fever, I probably wouldn't have set time aside to appreciate some of these classics.

In summary, in my opinion, your company's COVID protocol kinda sucks considering all the apocalypse mania that is going on.

Discussion on the Packers fail last night is not open for discussion. I didn't see the game live but saw "highlights." Not sure what to say.

Special teams sucked, I agree and they deserve criticism... but how can the offense only score 10 points? Complete fail on 2 of the 3 components of the game. Bad, Bad, Bad

Hadda change the channel as soon as Gould's kick went through.

My wife knows me well enough to not talk about the game unless I bring it up.

Dinner didn't taste so good last night either.

But hey, on the bright side, I'mma getting my woofers back tomorrow! Those positive thoughts have (almost) completely eviscerated the results of the game. Oh, and the Rams win over TB12.

My Dad had earmuffs on and eyes closed for the whole flight down. I was genuinely concerned about his well being, he would not interact with anyone until we landed. Then he said "that was the best flight I've ever had". I said yeah, I intentionally picked seats over the wing, put you in the aisle, and technology has improved since 1980.

The ride home he watched a movie on the iPad, and had a coffee. He had himself so psyched out. Got stranded in WA when Mt St Helen blew, and had an emergency landing on the way out west too. Plus has a crippling fear of heights. He won't go by windows of any building over 2 stories. He will drive 3 hours off route to avoid a tall bridge. He'd prefer a ferry to a bridge.

I'm afraid of heights for good reason, I've fallen through a barn ceiling, off a house roof 3x, and nearly off a 4th floor roof diving to grab my coworker who broke through a railing we ended up with one hand and a knee on the brick ledge, one hand on his tool belt and got pulled back up by the other laborers. I cant lean on a railing to this day but I can sit on a high balcony. Has to be a level sturdy surface. I hate airplanes because I don't like being around people, and not in control of the vehicle but it's a necessary evil.

My mom used to be a stewardess in the 70s, she don't care about the flight. Shes flow. twice since 1980, but not since 01 so the tsa BS was new. They both got hand searched on the ride home. My dad got a pat down in ohare, wife had to supervise a handcheck of her bag too. I got no hassle. I'm usually the one that gets pulled aside. She said they asked if she was with me and how we were related when they pulled her out of the line.

I'm under contract till June. Signed a retention contract that benefits us both. I get a good chunk of money, they get guaranteed hours.

Downside is any pto hours need to be made up, so I have to do enough OT to cover the time I just took off. But it's paid at 2.5x on the makeup days so I'm not upset. Plus a 20% pay raise for 6mo.

On the covid side, their argument is they provide ppe, if you break protocol, it's on you. Otherwise, the illness wasn't work related. Just like if you hurt your back lifting a patient instead of finding the one crane in the hospital, get a harness from storeroom, and use the machine to lift the patient, you're not covered.

Look at this though.

They need people in to deal with the patients. I don't know how i lean on this.

If you're not very sick, I don't disagree that you can work. But I'm also the guy who has been sick as fvck vomiting oit the window with a 102 fever on the drive into work and still did my 12 hours. My coworkers have forced me downstairs to the ER once... that was fun. No matter what job I've had, I show up if I'm scheduled. If I call off, I make sure there's enough staff to deal with my absence before I do. I can't endorse this for others, it's irresponsible. But it's what I do.

If you're sick enough to have a week off, file the fmla paperwork to avoid attendance points. Employee health does advise this route over taking the unexcused absence points.
