I get that. These are just cigars I missed out on and was trying f to grab a few or a box. Lol this place is hardly about cigars anymore it seems. Mostly political and hot topic talk.

Not looking for tuxtla at this point.

I think part of the problem is the lack of readily available stuff that doesn’t have tons of “fan boys” where as once upon a time you could get stuff easily.

Yeah you are probably right. It’s been strange to see the change in the cigar world from when I left and now.

Was thinking about this and yah, gotta agree. Less cigar talk and more other stuff that, quite frankly, doesn't appeal to me.

Prime example - has RayR ever posted an entry about cigars or has it been 24/7, 365 about politics? Think

I think if I wanted to talk about politics, I'd find a site who's sole mission is to discuss / argue about that stuff, not a discount cigar company's. Of course, ymmv.

Hahahaha! I see what you done there. Laugh

Speaking of Warped, initially I wasn't a big fan 'cause Kyle kept on releasing Limited Editions like they were going out of style. You either had to get on the KG Bus and buy everything he put out (...great, good, okay or bad...) or be selective and possibly miss out on a great blend or worse yet, buy a few blends and not like them. In his early years, KG did have some winners but I don't recall him hitting at a 90% success rate. Maybe more like 50%? IDK 'cause I never spent the coin to find out if he had a good one or not. I was usually the Johnny-come-lately and typically too late to buy a smoke that everyone raved about.

But, now that he's built up a bigger regular line, there are definitely smokes that I like and buy in bigger amounts.

Lol. Yeah that’s what I did. There’s two out there I feel I need to try. The eagles something or other and the other one I can only remember the picture of the band. I feel like they’re batting a thousand for me though right now

La Colman Coleman Colmana. Something. But yeah. Actually have a wicked good pipe tobacco blend

Eagles Descent is the one but offhand, I don't know what the other one would be but Kyle seems to be on a mission to release new stuff this year. I know he has a "KJG" (...dunno actual name...) with a green and gold band out there that's fairly new.

Changing the manufacturers a bit but I'd be very interested in trying the Fuente - Padron collaboration. Herfing

I haven’t heard about it. I fall in and out of the loop. I usually try things when they go on sale 2-4 years later lol.

Hahaha! Same here.

As far as the collaboration goes:

'Course finding and being able to purchase them will be a small challenge once they start shipping. Anxious

I feel like a Churchill is an odd size. I mean. I smoke Churchill. I like Churchill. I’m gonna need a single. No doubt. The biggest problem is I have stuff I still haven’t tried. Then I bury it. Ya know. I have an anniversary monte. I heard from another brotha it’s gold. I need to dig some of these things up.

Churchills worry me because I'm skeered I'm going to get interrupted before it comes to its natural conclusion

I'm not much of Churchill-size smoker myself but maybe we can rustle up a buncha fellas and split a box? Think

I don't think I'd want more than 2, 3 max, of each.

I think for me, it's a matter of not becoming bored with the cigar. Too many bigger RG at 6" or longer that after awhile, I can't wait to let sit in the ashtray and extinguish itself.

If it’s a big girl. I just stop when I’m done. I’ve seen a couple other guys mention the same. I have some 300 manos in Churchill. If I’m over it in an hour. Well I just let her go

Absolutely not! Iffin I paid for that smoke Imma gonna smoke it until my fingers blister from the heat. Then I'll break out the telecrafted nubber

If I hate it, it'll just be a drawn out painful lesson not to get another one of those
22. Author: Jakethesnake86Date: Sun, 7/10/2022, 1:01PM EST
Dam…. Never thought about it like that. Maybe I’ve been doing wrong
23. Author: SunoverbeachDate: Sun, 7/10/2022, 1:18PM EST
Just my take. I don't like wasting money. Well, that's not true. I don't like throwing away money, sometimes to my detriment.

There was a point I was actively trying to build my spice tolerance and got some Da Bomb Beyond Insanity. Awful stuff. Tastes like battery acid. At least I assume that's what battery acid tastes like. Ask Danm. He'll tell you the same. I destroyed meal after meal with this toxic chit. Didn't enjoy food again until it was gone. Why? Well I paid a a whole $8 for it. Can't just toss it

Hmmmmm. It’s like those beers I’ve bought. The ones that are undrinkable. But I finished them. See I just hadn’t thought about it. Churchill to the nub going forward.

Exactly! Everybody's got a little cheapskate in them

That reminds me. I need to work on getting rid of these dam IPAs

I don't think JTS has a telecrafted tool yet? May have to fix that problem.

I don’t think I’ve bought an IPA in close to 10 years but we have a couple in our outside refridge that our son brought over. At best 1 bottle a year is drunk by him.

On a similar note, I have a bunch of Deshutes Abyss from 2014 to 2016 as well as other dark beers that have been in storage for 6 years. I know they’ve mellowed and lost a bit of flavor but I gotta figure out what to do with them since I haven’t gathered to herf with my nephew since Covid hit. We used to go through at least a couple of bottles each time, 2 to 3 times a year.

Call him up before the next variant flares up. If that doesn't work, I might know a guy who's a fan of dark beer, which is why the IPAs still sit in the fridge. Whistle

I mean. Just take one for the team palama. They’re rough. But. It’s still booze.

I see that nephew about once a month. He works near a store we go to every once-in-awhile. His promotion to Asst. Store Mgr. recently means he doesn’t have to work Saturdays so it’s just a matter of synching up a free weekend. But, he also splurged and bought a buncha Abyss for the herfs. He’s managed to whittle down his inventory while herfing with a few of his friends once or twice a month.

I’m gonna bring the boxes back home so I can take an inventory but I know one of the boxes has something like 10 2014 Abyss’!

Yah, I went hog wild that year. d'oh!

Drinking a whole bottle by yourself in one sitting is quite a task. I’ve done it before but might be too much of a good thing at this point in time. I tried drinking half and then capping the bottle but didn’t finish it till a couple weeks later. Definitely waited too long. Brick wall

So I just lit a Churchill. I will smoke the whole thing. Cause. 4$ is 4$.
