80902 AJF Last Call maduro

Jeebs, the triple maduro is a staple in my rotation. Always good, always well rolled, always a pain to remove the damn ginormous band.

They are good at auction prices but no way in hell would I pay retail for them.

I never had the pre-Davidoff Eiroa version so I can't wax nostalgic, but I like to let them sit for at least three to six months before I smoke them.

Early on I bought a ton of the Sancho Panza double maduro (and Brazilia, Antano, etc.) but found the double maduro to be about one third lacking in maduro-ness.

I think there are shenanigns going on in here!

80902: Hoyo La Amistad AJ Fernandez Robusto 5.2 x 54
Definitely not the dog rocket the first 3 out of that fiver were. Nutty, toasty, salty and sweet with a bit of pepper in the back half. 45 minutes.

80904: Varina Farms BKFST BLND Toro 6 x 52
My last of 10 and I enjoyed them. Excellent price point. Nutty, creamy.

80907 - CAO Colombia Robusto

I had a couple of the Partagas Cifuentes Maduro Toro from five pack samplers. The first one was purty good I thought. I kept watching for a five or ten pack but they were bidding stupid for what I expected. The second one was such a disappointment I stopped looking at them altogether.

80909 - New World Dorado perfecto

80911 - Black Works Killer Bee robusto

Tiver, as I work my way through the different cigars, I think I’ve decided that I won’t be purchasing anymore from that brand. I did enjoy my smoke today but that brand seems inconsistent and hit and miss. For the price I can get something better and more reliable. Thanks for your comment.

80917 Southern Draw quick draw CT this morning after work. Still working my way through the connies to save my space for the other stuff to age. Wasn't bad. Typical Connecticut nothing noteworthy. Got in trade didn't buy.

As far as the cigar goes, glad you like it. I’ll need to revisit soon. I wasn’t too impressed when I initially tried them so mebbe the additional nap time helped.

Funny to post this re: discussion in another thread. This is my first try on this blend so I won’t say much other than I’m not really looking forward to 4 more.

😂 it didn’t have a lot of flavor and reminds me of a giant cigarette. Maybe the next 4 will be better.

I like this blend in this vitola and I enjoyed pairing it with a root beer…to each his own. It was a little salty, a little creamy, a little nutty, a little peppery. I quite enjoyed it and probably my favorite blend out of LPH.
