After you become filly acclimated, F'it, just let it rain, it's typicaly warm rain anyway. Beer

Already have the big umbrella... and already acclimated. Got wet a few times. I don't mind so much, but Tank hates it. lol

Maybe he brain waved me to tell you to buy a BIG umbrella to cover him and to keep up with his important sniffing duties. LOL

Got a front coming thru. **F and humid today. Gonna rain into the night, then tomorrow will only get up to 79-80F!

Wife hit Trader Joes before I got out bed. Just finished our Costco Run. Only $120!!!

Going to replace the laundry room light fixture with either new fluorescent bulbs or LED if the new bulbs don't work. Hope I can do it myself if it requires a new fixture. Don't want to pay my electrician $150-200, if I can avoid it.

Also going to do like a half hour work on my aquarium to add some new rocks and an inside tank, circulation pump. Almost bought 4-5 new fish yesterday, but decided not to spend $25 each when a local breeder sells them for half the price. Just waiting for them to be available again...

Other than that, My wife works a four-day work week and has today off so we are just sticking together all day and basically just going to hang out together as usual.

I'm surprised the receipt checker didn't send you back to up those numbers, those giant shopping carts/buggies are there to be filed up. LOL

Wazzup.
Sitting at the tire shpo. Just now getting my winter tires off my daily driver. At least I can sit outside and have a cigar. Rainy as all get out but my tire shpo protects me from the rain.

Called out of work again today. 3 days in a row. First time in 24 years I called out for actually being sick. I usually save sick days for nice days, days I can use to get things done.
Not now. After a week of feeling like crap, my wife finally dragged me to the urgent care she works at. Effn' pneumonia.
It sucks

Dang, Brother. I hope you recover 100% and very soon. I will say a prayer for you. And a prayer of gratitude for your wife, you’ve got a winner there!

Yup, totally sucks!

I’ve had, what my doctor called “walking pneumonia” and was out of work for almost two weeks. My old working place didn’t have sick leave (…not required by State law…) but since I was a salaried employee, didn’t lose any pay. Of course my boss wasn’t too pleased but whatcha gonna do? I had a deep, rough cough and that wouldn’t be too conducive to talking to customers or being around co-workers. I must say, the meds I was given, sure worked! ThumpUp

Way more than 500 raindrops here. The water level of the creek is extremely high.

Haven't seen it this high since our first year up here. I highly doubt we'll be going anywhere tomorrow.

Might have to move the riding mowers out of the new shed.

Set a timer. Going to go check again around midnight.

Over and out.

Man pneumonia sucks for sure, get well soon.

There is a pneumonia vaccine, not like the covid nonsense. I got it a while back as it actually helps with allergies.

Cancer is an absolute, relentless bitch. Neighbor lady knocked on my door Wednesday, telling me she’s having surgery to remove a tumor from a lung, and that her sister is also going through cancer treatments.

Tomorrow, I plan on attending a wake for the third cancer death in four weeks.

There. I set the bar real low.

What you you guys doing this weekend?

Pray Cancer sucks.

Saturday we are going to Tennile, Georgia, close to the middle of Georgia, to shoot in another rimfire benchrest match.

Sunday and Monday relaxing and listening to all the private turboprop and jet airplanes leaving Augusta after the Masters golf tournament.

Congrats to DED and Spunky!!

Got the dog walked and the gym done. Got a haircut and found a bottle of Henry McKenna 10 year while I was in the area (on base... barbershop is next to the exchange). Thought about cutting the grass today... briefly. Will do it tomorrow. I got enough movement already today.

My buddy's pop just had 3 stents placed. His LAD was 95% blocked. Oooof. He's in his 80's and still pretty mobile and lucid. Happy to hear it went well.

Sorry to hear about the cancer news, 8track. Hopefully it all goes well for those still on this side of the dirt.

We got swamped but not flooded. Thankful for that.

Duck is good eating but u gotta be careful. If ducks get over hunted and go extinct, us Dads won't have anything to blame our farts on except barking spiders which aren't as believable.

Quality of life has no dollar value. I took a pay cut to accept a job 15 minutes away. I could make 30% more if I wanted to commute an hour each way but that takes a toll on me - been there done that. Burning the candles at both ends mentally and physically took its toll on me.

Family and friends have mentioned to me that my attitude has changed and I'm less stressed out. I didn't see it but they say it's an obvious change for the positive. So a pay cut kinda sucks but life isn't about money - I can get by just fine. I'm less stressed and have a a better mindset.

It amazes me that people will travel an hour each way to their jobs. That's 10 hours per week- like an extra workday burned each week.

Opposite for me... 9 hours and 8 minutes of blissful sleep. Interrupted by a puppy dog that had to pee, but I went right back to sleep... and so did he... and he's still there, the lazy bastid.

Dog walk soon... not much going on after that. Maybe cut the grass if I feel uppity.
