Somewhere Inside George W. Bush

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that he is a chronic failure, a failure at
the best schools in America, a failure at holding his booze, a failure in the baseball business, a
failure in the oil business. Even worse, he knows that he is a failure in the realm of personal self-
improvement, failing to acquire much knowledge of the world outside of his family's dynastic play
pen. Bush would, in fact, be a total no account failure in life were it not for his family's money and
influence and his open mind about insider trading, were it not for the blind support of people who
are no longer able to make a distinction between democracy and crony capitalism.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he is aware of his limited abilities to comprehend
and communicate intelligently. Afterall, he has to listen to his own conceptual and verbal stumbling
almost daily. He can't have missed it.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he is aware that he is likely the most ill-educated,
ill-experienced, ill-advised and inconsistent presidential puppet to ever be dangled around in the
Oval Office.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he is aware that his own intellectual limitations
put him under the dominion of those who are even less "Christian" than he claims to be, people
who are demonstrably ignorant of the values of democracy on a daily basis.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that he is precisely the Howdy Doody
that the religious right was looking for in order to monger power and control in promoting their own
self-serving, corrupt agenda, not Bush's agenda (which he does not and could not possess).

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that there is a difference between
Christian compassion and religious belligerence and self-righteousness. He knows that you can't
destroy human life with executions and precision bombing and then pretend to be working for the
Prince of Peace.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that he would never be able to survive
his office if anything even remotely resembling the truth gets into the mainstream press to be
honestly considered by the people.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that his presidency is already over,
except for the threats and lies and denials, that he is never going to be able to spin a pre-
meditated, unprovoked war on an impoverished, nearly-defenseless nation into an act of high
Christian morality in the eyes of the world.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that all the lies and fabrications and
dirty tricks will catch up with him, as they always seem to catch up with dishonest people. Funny
(and fortunate) how the world works that way, is it not?

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that he is a dry drunk, a man who has
found a way to be smug, belligerent and self-righteous without drinking a drop, a truly godlike
accomplishment. He knows that if he diverges even for a moment from his religious convictions,
he would be back on the bottle.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows his life has been a series of
fabrications, manipulations and bailouts designed to keep his boat afloat, that his entire past and
current status have no relationship to honest human truth, that his entire history doesn't really
exist except as a fervently-maintained fabrication. President or pauper, this outcome is always
something of a human tragedy.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that his entire program is a puff of
capitalistic smoke, a fabrication without substance, a pyramid sitting on its nose, only as good as
the fabrications which prop it up, dependent upon more and more fabrications, until the people
ultimately can see his blessed nudity.

Somewhere deep down inside George W. Bush, he knows that all of these things are so, because
these conclusions are far more empirically-justifiable than suggestions that he knows something
about democracy, let alone suggestions that he knows how to provide democratic leadership to
the world.

The question is this : What events might catalyze a glorious personal epiphany, a self-realization
of his own ignorance and incompetence? What might be the nature of the words which would
bring George W. Bush back to earth and to his knees in self-abhorance? What might be the
nature of the personal downfall when Bush accepts the inescapable fact that his knowledge of
Jefferson's Democracy and Christ's ethical morality isn't worth a spit, that he has no business
whatsoever being in the White House, that he has executed Jefferson and Franklin right along
with the rest of the criminals in his mind, and screwed over the most promising nation in the
evolution of human culture, all in the name of a tiny handful of greedy, self-rightous people like
himself, comprising all of one half percent of the world's population.

Given the massive amount of darkness embraced by the Bush administration (which has reduced
their pupils to tiny black specks), it is just a matter of time before George Jr. and his crony
capitalist cadre are simply blinded by the light.

You might want to get yourself a pair of shades for this apocalyptic event. It is a given.

If Bush is a failure, what does that make Gore? He was beaten by a failure? How low is that?

Inside GW is a REAL human. He makes mistakes, and admits them. He learns from mistakes and makes efforts to alter and change from them. That is his track record. So far, I'm PROUD to call him my President, that's something that I coundn't do under Clinton. GW has a higher regard for the office and the oath he took. The people he has around him are the brightest minds.

Some say GW is stupid. He was able to fly a fighter jet. That takes brains. He was a successful businessman. He turned a profit. That takes brains. He attended Yale AND graduated. While it does take money and pull to attend at certain universities, he did make his own grades. That took brains. He was the Governor of Texas, twice! Ask Anne Richards if that job takes brains!

I'm not going to try to get under his skin or think like him(or anyone else!)that's too much like playing God. I'll let God judge him, after all he's got "The Plan".

Robby...
Technically, that's not true. The Supreme Court via Florida, handed him the office.

Doc...
I agree with you that not any idiot can fly a fighter jet. I'm an instrument rated private pilot and I can tell you that it takes some (emphasis on the word "some")brains, diligence, confidence (balls) and dedication just to fly Pipers, Mooneys and Cessnas let alone a fighter jet. If not for this fact, however by what I've seen of him, I would think him pretty dumb. He did force the hand of the U.N. and pulled a unanimous vote. I must admit, I was pretty impressed.

i can't find a single post from the liberal left, or whatever we are called now by the freepers, that says anything good about gore. you guys make it up. we didn't like gore, or i didn't like gore, so stop this nonsense about we like or liked gore.

and i have seen an interview with a young bill gates and congressman or senator, what ever gore was.
he told gates he was interested in the idea and bring it up in the senate or congress. no more.

any bs that he said he invented the internet is exactly that, BS.

sketcha, I thought when they "counted the votes" Bush won? Then they (the dems) tried to recount in the counties they thought would put them over the top. Isn't that how it happened? That would mean he won, right?

I don't like Gore and I'm way over taxed. I think McCain would've beat the crap out of Gore,,, and there's plenty of that to beat out!

"""You Dems need to get off the Al Gore Band Wagon and admit he LOST! He lost because Bush is a far better leader. Gore lost because he is a bullsh*t artist like Clinton. "I invented the internet" Give me a break. """"

From Snopes.com

Claim: Vice-President Al Gore claimed that he "invented" the Internet.

Status: False.

Origins: No, Al Gore did not claim he "invented" the Internet, nor did he say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way The derisive "Al Gore said he 'invented' the Internet" put-downs are misleading distortions of something he said (taken out of context)
during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN's "Late Edition" program on 9 March 1999. When asked to describe what distinguished him from his challenger for the Democratic presidential nomination, Senator Bill Bradley of New Jersey, Gore replied (in part):

During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system.

Clearly, although Gore's phrasing was clumsy (and self-serving), he was not claiming that he "invented" the Internet (in the sense of having designed or implemented it), but that he was responsible for helping to create the environment (in an economic and legislative
sense) that fostered the development of the Internet. Al Gore might not know nearly as much about the Internet and other technologies as his image would have us believe, and he certainly has been guilty of stretching (if not outright breaking) the truth before, but to believe that Gore seriously thought he could take credit for the "invention" of the Internet -- in the sense offered by the media -- is just silly. (To those who say the words "create" and "invent" mean the same thing: If they mean the same thing, then why have the media
overwhelmingly and consistently cited Gore as having claimed he "invented" the Internet when he never used that word? The answer is that the words don't mean the same thing, but by substituting one word for the other, commentators can make Gore's claim sound [more] ridiculous.)

;-) you got it. Just remember, we're a representitave republic, not a complete democracy. Gore did get more votes than Bush, but he got more than Clinton too! :-) Lot's of folks who bring up the first, don't mention the second.

I watched Al Gore getting a tour of Mt. Vernon (Home of George Washington in Virginia where I'm from). He was getting a private tour and the media was there covering it. He was VP at the time. He looked up at the mantel, and exclaimed, "who's that?" when looking at several busts. The curator said, Oh Mr. Vice President, that's George Washington, and that's Benjamin Franklin! UNBELIVEABLE! BUT TRUE!! NO SNOPES NEEDED!!

I agree Robby. I'm over this. My original point was to counter your view that Gore was "beaten" by Bush and "How low is that?" Now if it would've been a rout, you would've had a good point.

I think the country would've been better served if all of Florida was ordered a recount by the Supreme Court citing glaring polling flaws (no Robby, that's not a term relating to Male sexual disfunction). Then the country would've been more settled and secure no matter the outcome. Instead, the Conservative Supreme Court called B.S. and handed the office to George long before the counting was over.

Faced with the alternative, I was fine with George taking the office. But to dis Al by saying George kicked his ass or something is a bit of a stretch don't you think? There are plenty of other ways to dis Al.

"""I watched Al Gore getting a tour of Mt. Vernon"""

What TV station? Network? Were you there yourself?

""" (Home of George Washington in Virginia where I'm from)."""

Nice state!

""" He was getting a private tour and the media was there covering it. He was VP at the time.""""

What were those media outlets again? Cable? Network? Local?

""" He looked up at the mantel, and exclaimed, "who's that?" when looking at several busts. The curator said, Oh Mr. Vice President, that's George Washington, and that's
Benjamin Franklin! UNBELIVEABLE!""""

Yes, that would be UNBELIVEABLE to have a gaggle of press there and yet it wasnt widely reported. Strange to that the political enemies of Al Gore hav'nt gotten their hands on such a tape and re-broadcast it every chance they got. But wait, you said you saw it broadcast.......Hmmm?

""" BUT TRUE, NO SNOPES NEEDED!! """

Of course it's true. We know you wouldn't spread misinformation and I'm sure since you dont want anyone looking it up on SNOPES.COM for themselves, that you will provide all the necessasary citations from reliable sources. Right?

I lived in Springfield VA (Just South of DC). It was covered by the local media there, I watched the coverage. It was quite a gaff! Like Quayle! He was a moron too. The difference here is, most republicans will agree that Quayle was/is a moron, and very few libs/dems will agree that Gore was/is a moron.

In fairness, he was touring through and just pointing at things, he may not have been paying much attention. But he had plenty of gaffes, like Quayle, just Al’s were less publicized than Dan’s PotatoE.

Robby - If Gore is a moron, which I agree on, that doesn't say much for GWB, because Gore is definitely more inteligent than GWB. Nice try with the quayle comparison to take the heat off GWB though.

I just wish we could have a President that is well eduacted, well versed, experienced, middle of the road politically and just an all around good person. Unfortunately, it seems like too much to ask...

They are clearly biased as stated on their website.

About the Media Research Center
Bringing Political Balance and Responsibility to the Media

Founded by L. Brent Bozell III in 1987 with the mission of bringing political
balance to the nation’s news media and responsibility to the entertainment
media, the Media Research Center (MRC) has grown into the nation’s largest
and most respected

conservative media watchdog organization.

Its really funny how folks will say that Bush isnt Intellegent.

Do any of you on this thread think you are smarter than him? If so, why are you sitting in front of your computer? Wouldnt you be more of an asset to society to do something more productive than he has?

Go ahead, rip on him. Which one of you wise guys have more accomplishments than him? Which one of you will impact the world like he has? I'll answer for you, none of you will & neither will I.

The next time you want to rip him a new one, look in the mirror and ask yourself, could I do it?

Now go ahead and make my day with a few more rediculous claims and stories. Hehehe!!

I'm not saying I don't believe you Robby. The media may very well have overlooked the gaffe, but you would think that someone else would have picked up on it.

I guess I'm just not a very trusting person when it gets right down to it. I have some inquiries going to see if I can find out more and I will check out the the clip as soon as I get a chance. Till then, I will withhold judgement.

So all of the harvard professors, and NASA engineers and other similar intelligent people are not intelligent to you Mag? Just because he's accomplished a lot doesn't mean a thing, if my father was rich beyond belief and could buy votes and school admissions for me; I would be better off as well.

But at the same time since I paid for my education, have EARNED everything I have, and I'm doing damn good for my age. I'm quite happy with where I'm at! Also Mag, I have 9 years before I can run for President so watch out...

I'm a stench republican. I voted for Bush, but when I see the VP speak, it seems like he should be president. I would rather have seen Allen Keys President. He was great in the debates. But W is pres and I support him over any dem. But I don’t necessarily think he’s the best guy we could have put in there. But that’s politics. 4 more years!

I agree Robby. His cabinet is the key. Some people will argue that what makes him a good leader is the people he surrounds himself with. Cheney and Powell (to name a few) are no slouches. Thank God he tends to listen to his boys and girls, although it was Powell that talked Daddy out of finishing the job a decade ago. He may have been right, he didn't want us to go beyond our objective of liberating Kuwait, but the Iraqis we left holding the bag sure paid for it.

Good one, Rick. I enjoyed that. I agree with most of it. Of course Bush is a puppet, what modern president wasn't? What does it cost to put a man in the White House? Couple hundred million dollars, more or less. When capitalist cronies pay that kind of bucks for a president they require a return on their investment. Wouldn't you?

i remember during a legitimate recount, the republicans sent thugs into the room to scare the hell out of the old people trying to count.

i remember 40,000 or more, citizens thrown off the voter register by kathleen harris, even though they weren't felons.

i remember toby is reg as a republican and i am registered as a democrat and i was not allowed to vote because my name was not on the voter registration.

i remember the court with rehinquest of the gold stripes on his sleeve, an idiotic agrandizement, overturning the florida supreme court decision to continue the count. so much for state's rights.

i remember clarence thomas of pbic hair fame, again siding with rehnquist again, and again, and again, because he has no original thoughts and couldn't make it on the people's court.

most of all, i remember gore's dispicable behavior, giving in instead of fighting back. he never was much and his current feeble attempts to resurrect himself as a viable candidate, was as feeble as his run, if that is the word, for president.

quale could have beaten him.
