Great evening. It was really good to meet everybody and put some faces to names. As I guessed the cbid folks were a really terrific group of guys. Looking forward to future get togethers.
I agree with Barry regarding the Fire line. I expected a much more peppery/harsh cigar, but these were surprisingly enjoyable, especially considering the bargin pricing. I talked with Rocky quite a bit about the 1000+ boxes they pulled because of draw problems. I believe they've corrected previous quality issues. A really good guy and a top-notch organization dedicated to a high caliber product. I suspect we'll see him post more regularly after our showing. Chicago herfers get ready, he's headed up that way soon.
ps Yesterday, I did a side-by-side tasting of the IT super fuerte and the super fuerte 2nd sold here on CI/C-bid and could barely tell the difference. Rocky agrees that they are very comparable and the only difference is slight wrapper inconsistencies. In my limited experience, many seconds are better categorized as fifths, but these are a true exception of a bargin. Either way, the super fuerte is a very enjoyable cigar. I've got a full sampling of other IT products to devote my holiday weekend smoking attentions. Enjoy
