To all those who have asked ...
The week was pretty grueling, learning the procedures, and getting use to the new job. I'm a one man department (only about 15 employees at the corporate office), and I'm in charge of all the shipping and receiving, warehouse management, inventory control, cycle counts, etc.
It's really very 'state of the art' and futuristic ... and 90% of all the shipping I do to the worldwide customers is done on the computer in my office. Purcell Brackets makes computer I/O brackets, some automotive brackets, and various other 'widgets' ... and ships them to customers all over the world.
They have two manufacturing plants, one in China, and the other one in Taiwan. I pull up the 'shipping report' each day, collect all the sales orders going out that week, create the customs invoices and shipping documents in MAS90, and send them off by email to the freight forwarders and factories ... and all the 'heavy labor' is done at the two factories. I call it 'virtual' or 'cyber' shipping, and they are even going to have the IT guy come to my house to set up my computer, so if I have to, I can work from home. They have their own servers ... so if there are any 'emergency' orders (China is just geting to work the next day, as we are going home) I can get them out ... LOL! Both the President, and the Vice President of Operations, have told me my job is extremely critical, and is the 'heart' and 'life blood' of the company ... and everything hinges on my ability to keep the product flowing smoothly to the customers.
It's really a very 'on the cutting edge' and solid company, and has been in business for about 13 years. There are only about 15 employees at the Brentwood Corporate office, and all are really good people ... very much like a family.

I'm still pinching myself ... and don't know how I managed to get such a wonderful job But, if I had any doubts that there is a God ... I surely don't have any now ... LOL!
