Two surprizing cigars

Well...actually, one was semi-surprizing and one was a complete shock.

I had a Victor Sinclair Bohemian Cuban Corojo after lunch. As you may have read, I had a Punch Rare Corojo yesterday and wasn't impressed. Now this was a real corojo! Very tasty! But I've heard a lot of positive comments on the Bohemian, so it was only a half-surprize.

Now the Pirate's Gold...THAT was a surprize. It's 3:15 AM right now, and I just got down having a few beers with some new friends here in the dorm, and decided I'd like a smoke and didn't really care about taste. I was buzzing a little, not really expecting much from this cigar, but then I noticed...hey, this actual tastes pretty good! A nice, full-bodied, smooth-tasting smoke. I just read that its made by Rolando Reyes, maker of Puros Indios, so I shouldn't be so surprized. And to top it off, they're dirt cheap! This could easily become one of my regular dailys. I just might have to bid on some.

By the way, both smokes were gifted to me by mrandmrsfox, so thanks for the wonderful surprizes!

Also, how are the Bohemian Revolution cigars? I've been wanting to buy a box, since I'd basically get a free, cool-looking ammo box with it that could be made into a convenient travel humi.

I think they are nice. Especially since they seem to go about half price on cbid. I can send you a hawkeye and predator if you'd like to try them (haven't had the other two varietals).
You're right, the ammo boxes are nice. Especially for a college kid on the go.
Check past pics. Rickamaven has entire rooms filled with these things. It's very funny.

ps I concur re: the Bohemian corojo, never had the pirates gold.

get a 10 pack of the
http://www.cigarbid.com/...on/lot.cfm?lotID=130041

you can buy them ftraight from CI foe $20.00, but don't tell the guys that ae going to overbid.

also get at least one

http://www.cigarbid.com/...on/lot.cfm?lotID=129214

the box is a great travel box and if you are willing to pay $3.00 a cigar, it's free. calibrate the hygrometer, and you have a nice little humidor. i have half dozen and won't be bidding got a while.

the best of the bunch are the ammo boxes with 25 cigars.the predator is the mild one, followed by hawkey and the ammo box is the tightest humidort i have. it holds the humidity even with the small humidifier. even if it cost $75.00 for a box it's listed @ $130.00 at CI. you should be able to buy it for less then $60.00. don't tell anyone else.

ikonoklast7,

You are more than welcomed. I'm glad you liked them. I actually found the Pirates Gold at my local shop in their bargin bin and gave it a try with the same reaction you did and an even bigger reaction when I noticed how cheap they go for here at CBid. Very nice deal. Bought a couple 10 packs from Cbid. And as far as the Cuban Corojo's they are really nice, I've had some of the older Victor SinClair cigars without really liking them and after getting some Hawkeyes for Christmas from a family member was turned back to them. I really enjoy the Bohemian line. Ive had the hawkeye and Predator and the Cuban Corojo. Looking forward to the other brands as well when time permits another buy from CBid. Anytime you need more you just let me know. Thanks BOTL!

I got a 5-pack of the Pirates Gold on a whim to round out a shipment one Wed. evening. A very pleasant surprise!

Got my last ammo box of hawkeyes for $43 and the corojos 10 for $25 with a pretty pink humidor. How can you go wrong?

FYI, the ammo box is a great humidor. I bought an empty box here at cbids and it is now my office humi. It will hold two entire boxes of Punch After Dinners. They fit lit a glove.
