This Palestinian baby was shot on its ancestral land by a Jew who occupies that land with U.S. support. What would you do if this was your child shot on occupied U.S. soil with Russia's support? Would retaliation in Russia be terrorism? See article

Pardon my reluctance to interpret your question...but are you asking if Palestinian retaliation on Israeli soil is justified? Or Palestinian retaliation on American soil?

Just for clarification.

I have no idea what I would do or want done, so I won't offer hardfast opinions. This probably comes down to whose side you are on in the MidEast conflict. Many will say that retaliation is justified. Many others will say that Palestinians started the terrorism and are the only ones who can bring peace by stopping terrorist acts.

But again, I hope I never have to form a personal opinion about an event like this.

Unfortunately there are no easy answers here. In my most humble opinion there are many, many terrible things that occur all over the world and even right here in our own backyard.

The only way that I am able to not over react in anger and shear desperation for a situation that seems hopeless and far beyond my grasp of comprehension is to acknowledge and embrace the following.

"This is a temporary world. Life (as a whole) did not begin and will not end here. Though it may seem like it at times. Free Choice is a gift from God. Therefore God does not control the actions of evil men. However, He does give us the strength and opportunity to heal form our past and present situations if we look to Him and TRUST Him. Make no mistake, this is not an easy task but rest assured, it's possible."

So, that leaves us with a few options. We can harbor resentments and let the enemy of God consume us and repeat these atrocities in on form or another or we can embrace the situation and look to God for guidance and strength believing that He loves us and allowing him to work.

One could ask the question, "How would I feel if my child was killed in such a manner?"

My answer is this.

I don’t know. I would try to seek peace by prayer and reading God's word and communion with fellow Christians. That does not mean that I would be successful. I am human like everyone else and faulted at the core. If I truly seek Gods will then I believe it’s possible that peace will be found and no resentment will exist. That, I believe is the only hope I would have to keep me from spreading the same death and fear that was given to me if my child were to die in such a manner. This is the hope of Christ that I believe in.

Again, just a humble opinion...

I agree with Patman. But there is also one other thing to consider. First, Isreal conceded 90% of the points of disagreement to the Palestinians in the desire to make a lasting peace. Second, the PALESTINIANS are the ones who never recanted on their original pledge to exterminate the Jews in Isreal. Third, after the first point the PALESTINIANS walked away from the peace talks. Fourth, on the occaison of a visit by the Prime Minister of Isreal to the Temple Mount
(wailing wall), the PALESTINIANS went ballistic, and began rioting, and ARAFAT declared an Intefadah (not sure I spelled that right) and PALESTINIANS began blowing up innocent Jews (and alot of PALESTINIANS!). Speaking as a military man myself, I somehow doubt that the shooting of the baby was a deliberate, intentional act. The PALESTINIAN terrorists hide among the general population of their OWN PEOPLE and dare the Isrealis to fight back, then scream foul when they do. I REMEMBER the PALESTINIANS dancing in the streets and cheering on 9/11. I think the death of a child in the midst of a war is indeed tragic, but let's not place all the blame on the "Terrorist State of ISRAEL!"
A better analogy would be, how would you feel if your neighbor attacked the Russians, and they Nuked your street? The homes the Israelis bulldoze are the ones provided to the families of suicide bombers by the Saudis, the Iranians, and until recently, by Saddam Hussein. Should they allow them to stand as an example that by killing innocent people you can guarantee your family free housing for life? Let's look at BOTH sides, and not just an anti-semitic propaganda site shall we? Maybe the best answer is to turn the entire region to glass, and see if the cockroaches and ants can get along any better.
