I don't think that pro football can exist outside the NFL. I know, that sounds short sighted, but look at the Pro Bowl. It's the week after the superbowl and nobody watches. NFL is a grueling 17 weeks plus playoffs. Feb and March are a short recouperation before the mid April Draft. Then free agent signings and trades occupy the die hard, until sometime in June when training camp starts. Injury reports, Rookie progress, Coaching changes, and off-field trouble seem to fill the void until late July when preseason begins. We don't need another 12 weeks, and even if we did, it wouldn't be this bunch of hyped up punks with no talent. Televise NFL Europe so we can watch the modern day "farm system". That should satisfy the unsatiated...
