...thanks Bass.
Danny..."I've lived long enough to know when I'm being schmoozed however, so I don't necessarily need a footnote or a bibliography to wade through bullsh*t. On the other hand, substantiated facts are always welcome"....
How can you have a "substantiated fact" without a footnote or Bibliography? A "fact" is something that not just one person believes, but rather a multitude of different folks with different views and research methods agree upon to be real.
With age comes a plethora of wisdom...whether we want it or not. I too have lived long enough, however, every day I learn just how little I actually know about anything. That's why I continue to seek truth, wisdom, and evidence.
When I was 7 I thought my father was the smartest man on Earth. When I was 17, I thought he was the stupidest man alive. Now, pushing 37, I realize how truly wise he really is. Amazing, how could he be so stupid for so many years during my adolescence and young adulthood. Or is it that I see him in a different light now?
A person who claims to be able to see truth based upon their own personal experience and intelligence is regarding all the others that are just as intelligent as himself (or more so), as ignorant. Trust nothing you hear, half of what you see, and question everything. Always realize, that there are others smarter than you out there, and use their experience along with yours to find answers. Always seek answers, and always keep your mind open!
The only answers one will find by claiming to use their own experience and smarts will surely be biased, foolish, half-witted, and most likely wrong.
