Bombing is the way to go. That's the ticket. Bomb them all. It's good for the economy. Funeral homes need more work.

The idea of any sort of military attack against Venezuela is completely insane. They are armed well enough to protect themselves to an extent, they suppy the USA with large amounts of oil, and they have active and growing relationships with China and Russia.

We need to embrace Venezuela and a great start will be President Obama reading the book he was gifted which will help make him understand the plight of South America and perhaps even move Obama to the point of pushing Europe for reparations.

Obama should request the help of Hamas in S. America.

I thought it was kinda funny when Chavez gave the book to His Excellency Barack (Idi Amin) Hussein (boy whiner) Obama.

As if Chavez doesn't have European blood in his family.

At one meeting, Chavez made a show of walking around the table as the cameras rolled and handing Obama a copy of "Open Veins of Latin America," a 1971 book by Eduardo Galeano chronicling U.S. and European imperialism in the region.

Republican Sen. John Ensign of Nevada, appearing on CNN on Sunday, said it was "irresponsible" for Obama to be seen "laughing and joking" with the Venezuelan president.

Obama dismissed such concerns. He said the 2008 presidential campaign proved that American voters want the president to engage with his counterparts, whether or not they are avowed friends of the U.S.

He said it "was a nice gesture to give me a book. I'm a reader."

"Obama dismissed such concerns. He said the 2008 presidential campaign proved that American voters want the president to engage with his counterparts, whether or not they are avowed friends of the U.S. "

He sure seems to be using his election win as a means to justify his policies quite a bit lately.

"Oops, we're socialists now..but that's okay because you elected me so that must be what you wanted. Stand in that line over there and you'll get your weekly allotment of toilet paper."

So let me see if I've got this straight:

1) We should listen to the concerns socialist dictators.

2) We should not listen to the concerns right-wing radio hosts who are citizens of this country.

Seems like we've got a pretty good idea where His Excellency Barack (Idi Amin) Hussein (boy whiner) Obama's intentions lie.

it "was a nice gesture to give me a book. I’m a reader."

...said the teleprompter president.

What a lame answer, he's a "reader." The book was in Spanish and he doesn't speak the language, so how is he going to read it? He just can't seem to say anything negative about foreign dictators (while assailing political opponents at home). So much for his campaign lament of how deficient we are as a country for not having citizens who are fluent in more than one language. Another expample of how liberals frequnetly say "do as I say, not as I do."

They had to keep the translators in an isolated and secure location. In the event that they should escape and inadvertantely conquer most of Latin America.

61: The copy Chavez gave him was in Spanish, so if he wants to read it, he's out of luck. If on the other hand he wants to buy his own copy and let the socialist dictator Chavez define his reading list, that's a whole different problem.
