when nice people post nice pictures of their families, the response is usuallu limited to 3 or 4 posts all saying how nice the family looks.

whn guys post pictures of youn almost naked women, it generally gets almost a dozen respopnses a,, about the same, "she can do-- to me." "she can have my ---whenever."

when someone posts something about sports it usually gets half a dozen messages.

however when drugs are introduced into the sports posts, the messages are longer and usually nastier.

it's sort of like the tv news. if it isn't about sex or it isn't about the misuse of drugs, no one cares.

why are the networks showing so much about scott peterson and not very much about soldiers getting killed in iraq.

when i post, i don't want or expect agreement. i want to see responses and arguments between different points of views. i don't need the attention focused on or about me. getting the point now?

a catalyst gets the pot boiling and things

a careful observer can see what's in the soup.

neither

some people see dead people.

some people see through the masks and find interesting ideas and thoughts.

Yo Rick:

Your statement:

"i even made a mistake posting a picture that i didn't realize had pictures of people falling from the twin towers for which i apologized."

My retort:

Five days later you posted the same type picture and said to the members of C-Bid, "if you don't like it tuff".

Rick can you spell "DEMENTIA"?

Yo Rick:

Your statement:

"i have never spoken anything nasty about any posters. i even ignored the stupidity of the poster that suggested toby might be a man."

My retort:

You threatened to have that newbe individual kicked off C-Bid because he made an honest mistake ( like you had the power to do so, LOL). Toby McGuire (Spiderman), Toby Keith (country and western singer) all MEN, etc etc.

Yo Rick can you spell "DEMENTIA"?

Yo Rick:

If I had to choose between herfing with Marla or you, Hmmm, Marla = Young, vivacious, witty, and beautiful, Rick = old, crotchety, only subject matter is Bush bashing, hmmmm, I'm afraid you would come in third, second would be herfing with myself.

JonR,
I imagine you'd be missing on a great opportunity if you were to decline a herf with Rick.
Despite my obvious differences with Rick, I would relish the opportunity to share some fine smokes with him. If not for the 3000 miles between us, I'm sure it would have been realized already.
An adverarial relationship is still a relationship, and a politcal foe need not be your true enemy.
Perhaps I'm missing some fine details, but you both enjoy the same hobby, as well as a strong opinion.
Who knows, you may even fall in love....

I would love to herf with Rick. I find intellectual conversation much more appealing then an attractive women, especially since I'm married now. I can see it know...

Me: "Rick, I agree with you."
Rick: "Huh, that's never happened before!"
Me: "However..."
Rick: "Yay, here we go!!!"

RICHAMAVEN:

I have come to the conclusion that you can't reason with these guys. Therefore my only defense against their moronic behavier is to withdraw my support from groups that enable them i.e. CBid.

There were plenty of despicable posts by leaders of their side that CBid did nothing about.

Our strongest suit is an economic one and that's what I intend to pursue.

BTW I have 2 questions for these folks:

1). If George Bush gets his way (but he won't) and signs the legislation he supports--a national sales tax as opposed to our present income tax system, what percentage of your cigar purchase would you expect to be taxed?

a). 20%
b). 30%
c). 40% plus

2). If he fails a national sales tax but wins on his flat tax proposal who would benefit most, the blue states or the red--and why? Would the winner become economically and thus politically more advantaged?

These guys are so uninformed they can't see the freight train bearing down on them.

Hey Wagner,

Great loss, your leaving the board, and you will not be missed! Have you even posted lately? Not that anyone cares, but just a little curious!

Go away and play on Moveon.org or Al Gore's pet sites!

Ya know, Rick just doesn't get me...

If he and Toby would actually come to one of my herfs, of which he is always invited, maybe he'd see my sarcasm and that I'm not trying to be any sort of boy.

Just because I don't agree with someone, doesn't mean that I wouldn't enjoy their company.

Oh well, I have to go slither off back under my old rock...at least I know who I am and am not afraid to be who I am...what you see is what you get. Ask anybody that's met me!

I never knew that Rick was so offended by my remarks!

How 'bout you go and have a nice day now. Is that ANY better? It says the same thing...

Just a suggestion Wag, but why not simply cease reading and participating in these asinine boards and use Cbid for discount cigar purchases. True, some other online outlets are cheaper for this or that cigar, but no one is cheaper for certain five packs or that rare super-low bid one wins occasionally. Cbid is a retail outlet, remember, not a church. As far as the these boards, on an "importance in life" scale, is it really worth ditching a good source of vice? (as if you actually will)

I like Rick

I think there was once I agreed with him even. I usually never post on the threads he has, mainly because there always seems to be such a rucus going on already. But I have to admit he is right in that normally his posts make ya think about your stance, your belief, or your posistion in what he's talking about. My opinion never (almost) matches up with his, I just don't seem to have a dying need to tell him so.

I like Rick....I think he is fun.

Who is wagner?
why is he here?

To tell us of his vast purchases?
If I were to leave, I'd simply go.
I wouldn't tell you I'm leaving and then return.
It's like he's reaching out.

Should we do some sort of intervention?

Poor soul...

I'm guessing his departure will be a protracted one ... he'll keep returning to say he's leaving in the hope that CBid will beg him to stay ...

Yeah, I miss wags.
He was such a great contributor to these boards.
Always witty and fun.
And he was great to trade with.
Did you know he spent over $1000 this past year on cigars from CBid?
He'll be missed....

Your statement:

"JonR

My retort:

As an unmarried individual I allow myself to herf anywhere in my home. I do wear glasses but only to see, (LOL).

You however took herfing to a higher level when you needed to have eye surgery. Do you still shave the palms of your hands? Doo Wacka Doo Wacka Doo Wacka Doo !

JonR

Ps: You might want to take that full length nude picture of michael moore off the back of your bathroom door, that might help to slow you down a wee bit.

I think Wags said it best...the third, no the fourth time he said "I'm leaving"!

Who knew he was quite the conversationalist?

How many posts did he have? 2, 3 tops.

Anyone have his addy? Maybe we could bomb him. Seems with his mighty spending he should bomb us. Then again a dud is a dud.

Hey Red, it is not all about you! Don't overblow your ego, and nobody is aware of a post of yours being pulled, they did stop posting on one of them due to guys having overzealous hormones or something!

This thread is just like a good cigar. It started out average and as expected. The middle burned a little hot, but finished up nicely.

Marla, Don't even respond to the Rickmaven. He is one sick puppy that has to throw out his viscious diatribe to get a response, which is the only way he can get an orgasm these day. I used to think he had something positive to say, but now realize that he is a pitiful old man that is very sad. It is sad to see an individual hate so much that he destroys himself while trying to destroy those around him.
