...8nthatk. I haven't seen Kern around in a while but he sent a Tat Black Label Corona Gorda back in 2014 as part of a nOOb PIB. I really enjoyed it. Mahalos Kern...wherever you are.

...Delta1. The first time I met Al last May, he gifted me a DPG El Centurion Robusto from 2007. Been waiting for it to acclimate to the Hawaiian weather and tonight it met it's demise. The years spent in deep sleep in Delta's humidor helped smooth it out. Thanks again Al, see you next month!

Thanks to Buddha Daddy for the VSG from 05.
Can you believe it was my VERY FIRST VSG in the 12 years I've been smoking ?
It was phenomenal.

The two Cupido Criollo's that were in the same RAOK were also excellent ! ThumpUp

Thanks Doug !

Had a 2008 la gloria maduro bought in DR from one of my old bosses who made a trip out there and then also a Nub Cameroon with my brother. Nothing special and not much for complexity but they were enjoyable smokes.

My problem, Doug, is that I listened to mjtoal, a brother who knows my palette, and has NEVER steered me wrong when suggesting cigars for me to try. It was he who turned me on to the Tat Nicaraguan Cojono 2012's, the Latitude Zero's, and quite a few others.
He once told me that the VSG was the ONLY cigar that ever really kicked his azz, and I guess I took that to heart. I have had a quite a few VSG's gifted to me over the years, but was always afraid that I would not like them, and didn't want to take a chance on wasting such a fine and pricey cigar, so I just passed them along to people who I knew would enjoy them.
When I saw the 05 VSG in the RAOK you sent me, I figured the 10+ years of humi time HAD to have mellowed it out a bit, so I gave it a whirl. GOOD DECISION!
Now I just have to try some that don't have quite that much age on them, to see how they compare.

Thanks again for your generosity !

...Cacman. Two and a half years ago he texted me about the Jaime Garcia RE Lancero that was released exclusively for the Hawaii market and asked if I could pick up a box for him. I was only 6 months into cigars and was totally unaware of them. As it turned out, I ended up getting a box for myself too and now these are smoking exceptionally well. Definitely one of the best blind purchases I've ever done. Right on Carl!

^^^ Right on Conan!!!
Recently dug out my "Hawaiian" box to pass one of my last two on to a lancero fan. Sure wish we could get more. Hoping there is another release this year.
Holding on tight to my last one.

...Fiddler. Smoking a CH Las Calaveras LC46 from a split with Alan. I had just found out earlier today that a hs classmate of mine had suddenly passed away earlier this month so in honor of Greg Davidson (...a fellow CBidder too...), decided to spark one up.

Mountainman.....Camacho Select. It was a beaut!!!! Perfect weather, big ol cigar, and cranking my tunes in the backyard. I am always bragging about the folks on here and days like this really bring that to the forefront.

...Homer O (...non-Forum reading CBidder...). We were at the R. Field / Crowned Heads event last night and he bought a box of Jericho Hill 12 Honest Men and gave one to me. Although I have some resting, hadn't sparked one up so we went for it and it was really good! I think of all the Jericho Hill vitolas I've tried (...Shots, .44s and OBS...), I like the lancero the best.

La Gloria Cubana flechas edicion limitada 2011 with many thanks to Mandobro from the nonv trade back in '14.

Very interesting shape, wasn't until I pulled it out of the cello I noticed it had a taper to it. Perfecto that starts at a 50 rg and goes down to about a 44 rg.

BHK 52 that was covered up in one of my coolers since early Dec 13. I believe I may have called it a yellow band torp when I first received it from Madspackler from our wager on the Bama./Auburn game for 2013.

A really nice smoke!
