64659 brick house mighty mighty. Didn’t like it. Oddly I really like the toro and robusto. Maybe that stick was just off
64660 Ramon bueso olancho 2005 reserva. Gifted from Carson the cat

@jsnyder how is the el centurion.??? I’ve never had one but I typically dig most pepin sticks

Jake, sorry the Mighty Mighty wasn't as good as the other vitolas! How did you like the Olancho? The Genesis Habano by Ramon Buesos was one of my favorite every day sticks....

Hey Carson how are you buddy? Hope you’re in good health!
The mighty mighty I smoked was one I had laying around for a little while. The one you gave me is a maduro. I haven’t gotten around to it yet. The olancho here is smoking flawless and honestly I’m enjoying it. Just getting towards the last third. Almost sweet which surprised me. I expected it to be a rugged powerhouse but it’s been tame. I don’t have a super refined palate by any means but I can tell if I enjoy a stick or don’t. Lol I’m enjoying it sir thanks a lot.

You'll find size differences can make a difference in the experience. I tend towards smaller gauges generally

Sunover. I’m learning that. I’m typically 50 ring guage kinda guy. Or smaller. I had read the larger gauges tend to be more flavorful..... I tend to disagree. That said I think you’ll like the Churchill melanio it’s 50 or 52 a winner.

I realize brick house isn’t an 11 dollar stick but that one last night was a dud.

My brick and mortar shop owner recommended me a specific stick he said was his favorite. I didn’t buy but need to go back down there. He said the other vitolas weren’t even close. I like to buy some smokes here and there from him but after finding this place. Well there’s plenty of very good cigars here at very good prices.

I subscribe to the theory that a lot of flavor comes from the wrapper so a higher wrapper to filler ratio works for me. Not a hard and fast rule, but a decent guideline for me

Never had any of those. I think I’ve been hunting for the perfect cheap stick lol. I’m sure we all do. I try to only smoke expensiveish stuff on the weekend. Considering I take my hobbies a bit overboard it’s likely I’ll end up rolling a few cigars at some point. I’ve done a touch of research on the topic. If I ever do roll something smokeable I’ll be sure to send some out.

Jake (Not from State Farm), check out the brotherly site (B O T L dot O R G). They have a topic on rolling your own and every once in awhile, people sell their rolling equipment.

U had the Triple-A? I was pleasantly surprised. I wish they made it in a smaller RG.

(edit: this might be my new fav Perdomo. Will need to smoke one of their Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maduro's soon to compare.)

I usually roast my own green coffee that I get in bulk on line from "Smokin' Beans" , but they seem to be having a covid panic attack over there because they haven't sent my usual 3 month order and customer service is as bad as Cbid..

Since they don't have a forum to complain to, I took a trip to Costco and splurged on a butt load of Kona.. I closed my eyes when it rang up, I didn't even want to look... Speak to the hand

For a short period I was on a 100% Kona coffee kick but it got me so amped up, my wife made me cutback. Started to mix the 100% with 10% beans to come up with a 35% blend. Flavorful with a throttled back kick, I loved it! Unfortunately, after a disastrous crop year due to bugs, prices shot up and (of course) have never come down since so no longer make that blend.

Think 100% cut with 10% to make 35% blend...... Confused

I have my worksheet someplace but it’s just some basic math. Xxx grams of 100% mixed with xxx grams of 10%, add the total amount of Kona, divide by the total weight. Simple, right?

Called it quits after Trig/pre Calc. I was in over my head at that point. Geometry was the last class that made any sense to me. And also found a major that required extensive writing

I passed calc 1 and calc2 and still don't know how to take 100% of something and mix it with 10 % of another thing and end up with a 35% blend. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying you can't be right..

Spanking Oh, I got it.. You're not talking about coffee, you're talking about caffeine in the coffee. Kona has blah amount of caffeine and the other brand has blah amount of caffeine.. so you take blah and mix blah amount of blah with the blah and then you multiply blah with blah then divide by blah than you diffuse blah with hot water into a mug you should end up with a 35% blahinated coffee...

I was just trying to make it sound more complicated.. Actually, if you multiply by blah, then divide by blah, blah cancels out and you end up with the same number of blah...

Jake: I really enjoy the centurion, in fact I like them so much I I bought a box from my b&m. It is the hybrid version though, I haven’t actually tried the standard centurion. Also did you enjoy the red dot? I like them, but I found that I like the nicaragua even more.

@jsnyder. The red dot. Well for my personal taste. It’s just not flavorful enough. I want to like it. But I won’t buy again. I had that one with coffee but wasn’t enough to really satisfy me.

They are calling it medium. I’m not finding that to be the case. I feel like it’s an ultra light. Again my palate is garbage but I’m just not digging that one. I’ve got around 11 or so left. They’ll probably be in my humidor for years. I’ll try them again another day. Just a little light for me. Even in the morning.
I have some cohiba black. That’s more of a powerful dark cigar so I’d try the Nicaraguan
