Depends on what he’s asking and how he’s cared for the cigars. I can’t tell if it’s bad lighting or if the wrappers on some of the cigars are dry. If they are dry, should be able to somewhat salvage them. Ultimately though, I’mma gonna guess he wants a very good amount of $$$ for either the whole collection or if he breaks it down. A tale of caution may be in order.

^ tried to pm you back twice but didn’t seem to work out. If the guy wants to sell me a box and gives a price I’ll chance that. To not tell me a price seems he doesn’t want to sell the way most of us would be willing to buy

Now your knowledge acquired post makes sense. Did I not Eiroa bomb you at one point? If I'm mixing up my BOTLs, I apologize. If my recollection game is strong, I'm considering possibly being triggered

68898 blackbird unkind. In my opinion this is the best of their core line. Worth trying if you haven’t I’ll likely get a few more of these when inventory allows room

68907 - Don Carlos robusto

This is the second Fuente I've smoked from that shpo where the wrapper burst all to hell, made a mess. The first time I figured maybe it was the shpo's humidity levels, I had smoked it ROTT, but this one had been in my humi for three weeks. Cap split as soon as I opened it, then the foot when I lit it. None of my other cigars have done this. Really disappointing.

I read some stuff online about this problem, and got the usual online takeaway - the humidity is too high or maybe too low / maybe it was the Cami wrapper because they're thin, maybe not / maybe it's my fault, maybe not ...

I'm leaning toward the humi being too dry combined with a thin cami wrapper?

Did you smoke it outside? Every winter we see many complaints about splitting wrappers. From humi to winter weather which is usually very dry. Maybe yes, maybe no.

yup...thin wrapper leaf and variations in ambient RH from the storage RH...might help to take a cigar out of the humidor and let it acclimate for a day or two before smoking...

Just an FYI

Been smoking through a cab of cloud hoppers for awhile now

I'll be posting up a +50 bump eventually in the count.

& yeah gotta put the big humidifier in the herf shed all day to be able to smoke anything fragile when it's below 50' outside

Then ya gotta watch the humidistat when you throw the heat on.

By the fireplace you've gotta be super careful either consistently close or consistently far.

Nice smoking weather tonight bruddahs!

I’ve considered bumping the rh up in humidor. Anyone try this? I honestly think cigars smoke better when the humidity is low outside. I could be a fruit loop though. Not sure.

# number correction

68930 - Melanio Maduro robusto, loved it

On my humi problem, I smoke inside with the window open, but it's really dry around here this time of the year. I think it's the Rh differential between the humi and the environment coupled with fragile wrappers, but then I wonder what do people do who live in a dry environment all the time (AZ, NV, etc)?

I may take them out and dry box them for a day or two first, but that means I have to know in advance what I'm going to be in the mood for. I'm not very good at predicting that.

Trued dry boxing 10 at a time to work around indecision, but found it only worked a few times before I started craving something else in the humi, then remainder would sit out too long. Gave up on it

How'd you like that Humo Jaguar? I recall really enjoying them (burnt through a box) and was curious how they had aged.

It was probably past its prime. Seemed rather one-dimensional and strength was very medium-ish.
