I'm on my 4th or 5th 30oz glass of beer......munching on some shrimp marinated in curry, then dusted with flour and sauted..........also have some buffalo wing chips and marlin jerky.

Almost pulled the trigger on a box of Mag46s.......but I think I'll wait a while and pick up a split later.

Thanks guys.

I had a bowl of Cheerios for breakfast and a Prime Rib Sub from Quiznos (split a big one wit da boy) for lunch.

I ain't had dinner yet, but a plate of yesterday's spaghetti with Italian sausage sounds like a plan.

"What kind of rum you sippin'?"

Ron Zacapa Centenario. It's a Guatemalan rum they age 23 years.

It tastes a bit like Havana Club, with a bit of honey sweetness to it. Very good if'n yas aks me.

I'm not a big rum fan, but that does sound good.

I'm watching the game too. I live only an hour from Lawrence, KS. I agree with your comment. This team (KS) will be something to watch the next few years. Self is an outstanding coach and he's got some great players.

I wasn't a real big liquor fan until I tried Havana Club (HC7 and Anejo) and Ron Zacapa.

I've sipped some single Malt scotch that i've liked, but I can't take to whiskey... just don't like it.

But the rums, i've had kinda won me over. And i'm a straight-up beer guy.

"straight-up beer guy"

That's me for the most part. Drinking a New Belgium Trippel at the moment. Strong beer (like 7 or 8 %). So it doesn't take as much to get a buzz.

I do like vodka martinis though and sometimes Jack or Jim Beam and coke.

What's up with this Kansas team tonight? 13-6

The most beer I've ever drank was at Talledega Speedway in 96 . . . I had a full case of Miller Lite . . . and about 3 more on the way home . . .

But, then again, I got drunk off my ass at the Preakness in 89 when Sunday Silence won . . . I have no clue how much I drank, but it's amazing that I made it home after the plane ride and all . . . whew.

Even though it's lite beer I think it's still close to 5%. Switch to a Belgium beer. 7-10%. They come in 750 ml bottles. All you need are 2 beers.....less vitamin P

Here you go:

http://www.ommegang.com/index.php?mcat=1&scat=0

At about $5 a bottle you can't go wrong!

Do you drink 24 Miller Lites (less taste more filling) or 2 GOOD 750 ml beers at like 8.5% alcohol! :)

Yeah, but that was 10 years ago . . .

I'm an Icehouse man, now . . . I can put away about 12 of those and I'm staggering . . .

I've been known to put away a full bottle of liquor, too . . .

But, I try not to get that drunk anymore . . . It's fun, though . . . but I usually get in trouble.

It seems to find me when I get sloppy drunk . . .

Best to only have a few and keep a level head . . .

Sorta . . .

I think I am through my beersnob stage.....I brewed for YEARS.......about 10 gallons a week, because I couldn't find any beer that really satisfied me that I could afford to drink at the acloholic level.

I while back, I mixed Clamato and beer..........I've been drinkin it since...the cheaper the beer, the better.

I like to order some Belgians when I am out and I still keep a case or two of good stuff around, but I am no longer obsessive about it.
