honestly, right and lefty are both milking the system together. look at the new republican sponsored welfare drug test law in FL. Turns out, the governor owns a bunch of medi quick offices (which do drug testing), he transferred ownership to a trust fund in his wife's name just in april 2011. Plus even if a receipient fails a drug test, all they do is name a friend or family member to receive the benefits for them. So all that really happens is a lot of state money is spent on drug tests and those of us who work and pay taxes feel like the republicans are looking out for us and our hard earned money when in fact they are not.

both sides are regulating us into oblivion. the reality of the world is bad things happen, people die and life goes on.

they keep sending these yankees down here to the south who want us to live like they did back home. But you left home if it was so great we would all love it if you would go back. We were fine without your big words and no shirt no shoes no service signs.

Difference is, I have no intention on changing the way you do anything. Hell, your lack of rules and regulations is what attacks me to your neck of the woods in the first place. 20 years ago, you could have taken southern NJ and moved it into the heart of Dixie, and it would have fit right in.

My daughter and grandkids moved to the NC Foothills 4 years ago. One of her kids where bitten by the neighbor's cat. She was upset that the cat didn't have a license and required shots. I told her not to be one of those damn yankees that move down there and try to ruin it for the locals. She learned her lesson, married a southern boy, and you would now think her and her kids where born and raised there.

Lovers of freedom my ass. You want to just regulate sh*t the way you want to. No abortions, prayer in schools, no Muslims, or whatever little pet peeve you have. God damn hypocrites. I not a fan of NJ either, too many damn people and our governor is an idiot, but you can move any time you want, as can I. You are just a whiny ass little bitch. Have a lovely day. ;)

News Flash. I've been a member of the Libertarian Party since '96. Unlike you, who sometimes claim the label when it suits you, I embrace the party's entire platform. Limited government in BOTH fiscal and social issues. Yet because I lean toward the conservative side of the party, you just assume that I'm a "let's regulate morality" Republican. Personally, I don't care for Reps or Dems, it's just that I find you far left wackos far more repugnant then the righties.

In case you missed it the first time, I can't move right now as I have aging parents to care for. Maybe I should be more like the libs. Shurk my responsibilities, move them into a nursing home and let them be someone else's problem. Heck, worse comes to worse, Government will take care of them, right?

Now it's your turn to reply with a “lmao“, personal insult, name calling, or a good old cursing. Dang you’re so predictable.

My aging parents are also here, 5 minutes away. They moved here to be close to the liberal son and away from their born again conservative daughter, and my father is a retired minister. So that should tell you who the more caring part of the family is right there. But continue with the 'libs just send their parents to retirement home bullsh*t' 'cause it just makes you look as stupid as you apparently are.

From earlier in the thread:

Here is the funny thing that you are not getting in any way and neither are so many of those who are the big complainers on your 'side'.

The stuff you just complained about on this thread are things that liberals, yes liberals, have been fighting against forever. You complain about it and then blame us for it. It's madness, and it pisses me off.

You complain about over-developement and farms disappearing, well guess what, Liberals fight that. It's your side that embraces the free market capiltalism that leads to that. So embrace it, it's your thing, and quit blaming liberals for everything you're mad at and use your brain for once.

From your post 54: "you far left wackos far more repugnant" "Maybe I should be more like the libs. Shurk my responsibilities"

From my post 55: "But continue with the 'libs just send their parents to retirement home bullsh*t' 'cause it just makes you look as stupid as you apparently are."

The insults and name calling I could find in the two posts referred to by you here. So WTF you talking about? Quit whining and deal with the issues.

Unless you're a douche that runs red lights, in which case you DESERVE the ticket, why the uproar over red light cameras?

I just don't see the big deal. But then, I don't run red lights and endanger people's lives.

Sure. I write the way I talk. Big deal. I'm the least pretentious person one could be. I suppose it would be ok to suggest that anyone with a southern accent is an idiot then since you and others like to stereotype northerners?

What a load of crap.
YOU fail to recognize an attempt at humor by degrading southerners who choose a simplistic vocabulary.
When called on it, YOU claim it's not their intelligence you abhor but rather thier disdain for education.
And now YOU'RE twisiting it around while claiming to be the "least pretentious person"???

Holy chit.

Fuzz, I'm a Yankee. Born and raised here in Mass.
And I see and hear the so-called "educated" on a daily basis.
Makes me want to puke.

You tell one off color joke and you're labeled a racist. Meanwhile, they go around bad mouthing the southern mentality, the accent, and the simple things in life.

They are the very epitome of pretentious. And you embody this foul trait to the letter. You value education over character. You listen to a salutation and immediately determine a persons worth based on the terminology and the accent.
Least pretentious?
The lady doth protest too much...

lmao, I've told hundreds of off color jokes, in mixed company, with friends, who aren't offended because they know me.

And I do not value education over character, quite the opposite. What I do hate are people who think education is stupid, people who think education is indoctrination, people who think that they don't need education and those who are educated are the brainwashed ones. That's what I think is stupid and crazy and I will call anyone on it anywhere, anytime. I know people with only an apprenticeship who have more character than you and most of the people on this board who come after me on ever f*cking post will ever have. And I probably know more people with degrees, masters and doctorates than you have friends. Is that me acting pretentious? No, just a fact.

I determine a persons worth on terminology and accent? I'm constantly being told I say I'm smart, or educated or using big words just to look smart, or we don't need you educated northerners down south, when I'm not putting on airs. So who is judging? I don't judge on vocabulary, I judge on attitude. One of the smartest (and funniest) people I hung around with was a homeless dude on the New Haven green who just go out of prison. He would hang out there during the jazz concerts. We would have a great time shooting the sh*t with my friends, drinking and listening to jazz. But the guy couldn't have had more than an 8th grade education, but he had lived. Fun times. Wish I could have done more to help him, but I was young and hell, he didn't want it. Everyone has their own cross to bear.

So get off your high horse and quit accusing me of being on one, just because I have an opinion that is different from yours.

"Only" an apprenticeship? Again, you are belittling those without your "formal" education.
If you want to "learn" something, look up the word "Irony".
It's one of my favorites.

The fact that you know these people does not make you pretentious.
But you bringing it up, like it was somehow important, absolutely DOES.

I'd thank you for making my point, but you're such a pompous ass that you'd go tell your other friends how you had to help me.

Aren't you a sensitive one. Sand in your vagina again? Yes, only because if one were to create a list an apprenticeship would be under college degree in terms of education level, just as a high school diploma would be above an 8th grade education. There is nothing wrong with apprenticeships and I think we should have more programs in this country for those on that path. Just because there are these hierarchical lists does not mean the person is better for having an education that is higher on that list.

lmao. Seriously? You accused me of valuing education over character when that can't be further from the truth and when I explain the circle of friends that I value, you come up with another way to try and make me sound like a 'pompous ass'.

I repeat.

What I do hate are people who think education is stupid, people who think education is indoctrination, people who think that they don't need education and those who are educated are the brainwashed ones.

Heh, maybe in writing, not in person. Maybe the people reading are just looking for ways to be offended or angry. Debate the issue if you want. Starting from the first post on this thread people have been telling me what I think and what I think about things. It's bizarre.

Yeah.
We're "looking" to be offended by a self absorbed blow hard.
Deflect this all you want, but you consistently look down your nose at those with whom you dissagree.
You can claim it's just "in writing" that you are a prick, but I've got a newsflash for ya: that's all a forum is. There is no face time, nor voice overs. It's all writing, which typically affords one an opportunity to review what is said so as to avoid a screw up. Not in grammer, but in context.

You want to re-read this thread?
You'll see how you once again tried to twist what you "meant" from post to post.
Because you were called out for what you are.
By me.
Because I'm not telling you what you think.
Or even what I think you think.
I'm pointing out what you said on these pages.
