Pearl Jam - Ten

Earlier - a comp CD of my favorite Neil Young “rockin’ out” songs. Can’t get enough of his one chord solos. Laugh

The Creation - We Are Paintermen

"Through My Eyes"

https://youtu.be/vj-okgwrrcQ?si=oRqMKI2tKX5gUdaE

A collector's wet dream. Pete Townshend tried like hell to recruit Creation's guitarist Eddie Phillips into The Who. He declined. Pete joined their fanclub. While I can hear the early comparisons, Pete later goes on to become prolific in lyrics and crafting songs. This album is available on CD is a mash-up of their 1st album "We Are Paintermen" and previously unreleased tracks. If you ever see this in LP form...grab it. Its as rare as Elvis' Moody Blue album that was 1st ran with translucent blue vinyl.

Oh well, it's Psychedelia Rock and if there's ever a time machine invented, I'd want to go back to 1967 London to see all these wonderful bands take the stages at universities, tea houses and upper room dinner clubs.

The Third Mind - The Third Mind II

"Sally Go Round the Roses"

https://youtu.be/j2J-LtxIb1A?si=NMKHAyvhX-DEae1V

Envious of those on the West Coast...their tours are very limited and it appears that the furthest East they choose to plan dates for is Texas. Hope they change their mind.

See what I did there?

Looking for that Concept Album to tickle the deepest of your ear holes? That act like **** running like salmon upstream to the egg called your brain. Then those damned guitar solos...haunting keyboards...lyrics that click...and drumming from the Living Drum God Heir Apparent Gavin Harrison!

The Pineapple Thief - It Leads To This

"Put It Right"

https://youtu.be/f3tBW7Pl6R0?si=KXKWoZUJ_-SisX_d

Unless you devote this entire album a listen with no interruptions...don't talk to me about it.

Two old-school classics from WAR:

Couple of favorites back-in-the-day. Used to stack them up on my record changer and play them back-to-back.

Neil Young - Live Rust

Listened to this a lot when it first came out. A co-worker and I liked Neil so whenever we worked together, one of us was apt to put this on. As a result, I never played the album at home so my vinyl records (…if I still have them…) are untouched.

This album was recommended to me by a friend. His leanings are hard on Jazz. This fusion of Prog and Jazz is...well, I dig it. Might not be for you, but if you like either one...maybe it is. To the uninitiated...the FM dial awaits. Say, is that the new Bon Jovi or Taylor Swift????

Leo Kottke - Mudlark

Favorite cut is his rendition of The Byrds’ “Eight Miles High” and his geese farts on a muggy day vocals.

John Coltrane - A Love Supreme

I have to include this in my Top 10 Desert Island albums.
