Not sure where that came from, torched one and it was OK. Definitely not LPish in any way, IMHO.

Agreed. I first heard about Genesis from a contact at the mother ship who told me the tobacco was stalk cut like the LP 52's. Apparently this is incorrect. The similarities pretty much start and end with the band which looks a bit like the LP line. Genesis is a notch lower in strength and the flavors are different than any of the LP's, but a damn fine smoke none the less. After burning through about a half a box (I had plenty of help), I ordered reinforcements. Provided the price doesn't take a jump, these will surely take a spot in my regular rotation.
Bottom Line...similar to LP....NAAA. Box worthy at the current price point...YEA.

Finally! The insanity may be slowing down. Just won a box of Toros for $61. It will only add $2 to my freight charge this week, so that's like saving $7 over buying them from the mother ship with the free shipping link.

I almost put in a $64 bid at the last minute but decided to pass. At least it wasn't RD of Sheffield Village OH that got em.

You would have cost me another $3, but they still would have been mine as my max was set at $64. Still, I'm appreciative of you holding off on your bid. Thank you.

Two more boxes of Toros closing tonight if you’re interested.

Jamie,
I just arrived at the RV about an hour ago. Brought down some Robs, so you can give these a try before bidding again. My Toros where delivered today up in Jersey, so we're out of luck on them.

As long as everything goes as planned, we'll be here through Friday night, back and forth between the RV and the house. If you can find some time to stop by, let me know when, and I'll work my schedule around you.

Not too bad, but I did get a box of Robs from the MS for $59.95 shipped, and won a box of Toros here for $61 + 2.25 shipping. Actually, I'm waiting for these to show up on FF. If they follow the pattern of simularly priced smokes, I'm guessing $22.50/10 for the robs, and $25/10 for the toros. Probabaly shouldn't hold my breath though.

The sister site deal was good for me - because i wanted a crack at all the vitolas before buying more....with the free shipping (USPS - so it gets here quick) I'm not paying too much a premium over box prices, which I didn't want to risk............not that any of this matters anyways.....not gonna smoke one until Thanksgiving, maybe......

idk......it's still a "hot" item and will be priced accordingly for the near term.......
my guesses.....
reset for the rob - $28.50
reset for the toro - $32.00

Actually the sister site was a good deal. Came out to exactly the same as buying a box of each using the free shipping link.

From the growers perspective, I have heard you make less money when you stalk cut your crop.
If this being the case, why would they do that?

Bad crop?

FYI.....I was originally told by a CI staffer before these were released that the tobacco was stalk cut, but someone from C-bid indicated the tobacco for the project is NOT stalk cut.

I haven't ordered any yet, as I remember other smokes that where great pre-release, but the actual production sticks where a big disapointment. Let's see what folks have to say about production sticks.

DP perhaps Pm me a price for a pair to try out and I might try and pick more up from you in a few weeks if things pick up here. I am looking for decent stuff for the crew for our next deployment. As long as they are not dog rockets, we will probably not be able to tell the difference in good and great. I hear good things about undercrown. This is the spring of testing because I m gong to be gone 2 years or more so I will finally stock up big time just before sailing.
