I'm interested to see how all of this actually plays out. It’s been predicted that it is either the end of the US or the salvation of the US. Probably a little of both.

I am not going to even try to explain a 2,400 page bill that no one completely understands, but I can tell you that there is no free government healthcare in this bill.

I know, Mr. Obvious, and the cost may eventually be prohibitive but it'll be shared among all.
Better than the BC/BS garbage I am forced to pay for now which excludes everything & is more of a catastrophic (hospitalization) health policy.

Hey, I used to be adamantly against socialized care but what we have now is crap and we're not allowed to shop out of state for a cheaper/better coverage.

Bloody.....you should be doing what most large and small corporations are already doing.....evaluating the elimination of employer-paid healthcare benefits.

Your accountant may or may not but I guarantee you my corporate accountants are looking at it. Under 50 employees and you can eliminate health insurance with no penalty. Over 50 and there are penalties but many companies have already figured out that the penalties are less than the cost of the insurance.

Dump them all on the insurance exchanges so they can get government subsidized health insurance.

THIS IS THE FIRST RIGHT STEP TOWARDS HEALTHCARE REFORM!

It is the employer provided coverage that got us into this mess and it can not be fixed until it is done away with. As with the pensions of old, lets hope employer provided health care is a thing of the past.

I dunno. We may go our separate ways since we are fiercely independent and are always nervous when too close to Germany.

The old EU should be renamed Greater Germany and France.

I'm just throwing this out there as a prediction...

Americans, the majority of whom are opposed to Obamacare, will be suckered by a bunch of smooth-talking "tea party republicans" into voting for them with the promise of a repeal of the bill. Then, once in office, they will tweak a few things but the majority of the legislation will stand.

Have NEVER seen a tax removed after it is implemented - right or wrong. In Allegheny County of PA they are STILL charging 1% Sales Tax for the Johnstown flood - which happened in a totally different County and in 1889!!!

We're fücked! Once again lawmakers institute a law and tax they themselves are exempt from!!!
