Have NEVER seen a tax removed after it is implemented - right or wrong. In Allegheny County of PA they are STILL charging 1% Sales Tax for the Johnstown flood - which happened in a totally different County and in 1889!!!

We're fücked! Once again lawmakers institute a law and tax they themselves are exempt from!!!

So true. Here in Taxholechewschitz, we are still stuck paying a "temporary" income tax hike that is decades old.

Yay!

HD, Jojo, ZRX, or anybody else who is not an ideologue & willing to be open-minded and not just regurgitate what Boner, Limberger, and company spew- I am in the incipient stages of investigation but it appears that if a small business drops its coverage & pays the penalty for Obamacare, it would first have to qualify under Medicaid??? Oh and vaccines would also be mandated??? Huh

Bloody - I have not delved too far into the rules of Obamacare yet (but that unfortunately will have to change really soon). my understanding is that business with less than 50 employees will not face a penalty for not providing coverage. I have set up medical reimb plans for a number of small businesses. It is the only way I know of where a business can offer medical benefits but still control 100% of the costs. Depending on the type of entity the business uses, the tax results can vary. S Corp shareholders are required to report the payment on the k1, resulting in a reduction of basis, or taxable income, if no basis left to absorb the distribution. Otherwise, the reimb is deductible by the employer and tax free to the employee. One way around the S Corp issue is if the shareholder's spouse is a non-shareholder employee, run the reimbursement through the nonshareholder spouse (which covers spouses and dependents).

Poor righties, first Ron Paul lost, then Mitt won, now Judge Roberts showed his true colors, and voted for Obamacare. When will the carnage end? How much more can they take. Why didnt Fox News, or Ruush see this coming? At least the Skyway bridge is open.

I been warning everyone, better learn to be self sufficient, guess I better start dusting off my plant medicine journals, hehe.

Seriously, though, we have Tenncare here, started off to be universal for the uninsured, that didn't last long, hehe. Now it covers children only. Do a little research on it, most of the politicians, whether Demorat or Republirans, have avoided telling the truths!

I never saw Obamacare as a right versus left issue. I would define it as the most clear example yet of supporting legislation that raids the treasury. Those in favor expect they will financially gain from it. Those against expect they will financially lose from it.

Destiny is that the "drain the treasury" crowd will always win. The USA is simply following Europe.

I'm sure they're here, find them yourself with a poll. My statement stands.

The beauty of this beast is that those that expect to financially benefit and those that expect to not financially benefit might be wrong.

Now that the US Supreme Court has ruled it a legal tax, we shall see how the law of unexpected consequences comes into play.

Gas prices are out of control. When they fall like this it is a dead giveaway for an impending economic recession.

When they rise it's a sure sign of impending inflation.*

Stable prices mean manipulation of the market.*

*may change depending on which party holds which political office being hammered

Find me 10 lefties on here against Obamacare. Oh wait, off the top of my head, I can only think of 3 lefties on here...Rick, Fuzz, and you (who has been quite absent from the boards until this came up....you just get the urge to gloat a little?) I'm sure there are 1 or 2 others that have slipped my mind.

He did 'change his mind' recently on gay marriage, so he admitted being wrong there, but at the time I guess he thought he was right, before he thought he was wrong, so you are right, I think.

I'll let you know how this turns out. The precedent was set today. The guberment now has the right to tax you for ANYTHING they feel is good for you. If they feel you should be buying/eating so much broccoli per month, they now have the precedent to tax you for it (sorry, listened to the Kudlow Repot this evening). Sugary or oversized drinks will become taxed. Just watch. You will next be forced to buy life insurance to cover your death or you and your surviving family will be taxed. We are all fücked, and it's only the beginning. Our forefathers are rolling in their graves. They might as well remove the Constitution from display in DC.

Can you tell I'm pissed off... ram27bat

IF YOU KNEW THE CONSEQUENCES PRO OR CON ABOUT THE MANDATE
YOU WOULD BE LESS QUICK TO THINK YOUR FREEDOM HAS BEEN
RIPPED FROM YOUR ARMS

THE TAX FOR YOU IF YOU DON'T WANT THE MANDATED INSURANCE AND
YOU ARE COMPLETELY WITHOUT ANY INSURANCE TO PROTECT YOU AND
YOUR FAMILY WHICH WOULD BE FOOLISH INDEED, IS $90.00 A YEAR.

IF YOU STILL WANT TO BE A HARD ASS, THERE ARE NO ENFORCMANCES
TO RECOVER THE $90.00

IS THAT MANDATED, OR IS THAT THE WORD YOU DON'T LIKE.

NO THAT YOU KNOW A LITTLE MORE THEN YOU DID BEFORE WE TALKED,
DO YOU FEEL BETTER?

THE FEDERAL AND YOUR STATE, AND YOUR CITY, CAN TAX YOU FOR ANYTHING THEY WANT.

HOW MUCH TAX DO YOU PAY FOR A GALLON OF GAS, A CAN OF SODA AND I DON'T
KNOW WHAT ELSE ON YOUR GROCERIES.

THEY TAX YOU FOR A MCDONALDS.

IF THER REPUBLACINS GET IN, LOL, THEY WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES BY DESALLOWING
CHARITY CONTRSIBUTIONS AND INTEREST ON THE MORTGAGE ON YOUR HOME

ROMNEY PAYS A FLAT 15% BRCAUSE HIS IS CAPITAL GAINS AND HIS RATE IS HALF
OF YOURS BECAUSE YOU WORK FOR YOU, YOU PAY HALF THE SELF EMPLOYMENT
TAX ABOUT 7 1/2% IS YOUR HALF.

HE PAYS NO SELF EMPLOYMENT TAX OR TAX ON THE MONEY HIDDEN IN OFFSHORE BANKS
THAT DON'T REPORT. AT THE END OF THE YEAR YOU GET ANOTICE FROM YOUR BANK IF YOU
HAVE EARNED OVER A DOLLAR ON A CHECKING ACCT

BETTER READ A LITTLE

Let me tell you how it will be,
There’s one for you, nineteen for me,
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don’t take it all.
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.

(If you drive a car ), I’ll tax the street,
(If you try to sit ), I’ll tax your seat,
(If you get too cold ), I’ll tax the heat,
(If you take a walk ), I’ll tax your feet.
Taxman.

‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
Don’t ask me what I want it for
(Mister Wilson!)
If you don’t want to pay some more
(Mister Heath!),
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.

Now my advice for those who die,
Declare the pennies on your eyes,
‘Cause I’m the Taxman,
Yeah, I’m the Taxman.
And you’re working for no-one but me
