Wow, thank you guys. The generosity of this group is incredible. Thanks Sun for sending me some smokes, mjr for passing a turn to me, and Cheno for picking me up.
When’s the next v-herf by the way, I’d like to make it a point to join and get to know everyone more.

I've had it. It's better than most of their others imo. (non-CC that is)

Clint good to know. I read somewhere that the Cuban Cohiba and the Cohibas with the red dot are completely different. Have you tried the Cubans? What did you think?

I've only had one kooban Cohiba, so not the authority, but found it better than the red dots. The flavor is very good, but I find generally CCs are a little more mild than what I generally gravitate towards.

You'll find a similar situation with a number of brands: RyJ, HDM, LA Gloria Cubans, H. Upmann, Partagas, Bolivar, etc. I imagine there will be a massive trademark battle in the event this embargo ever stops

Yes they are. Non-CC Cohiba is owned by General Cigar and has nothing to do with CC Cohiba iirc. Yeah I've had a few CC Cohiba Siglo's. They are better than any non-CC Cohiba I've had. Medium-full bodied.

Read page 1 of this post to understand how it works. Also try to make an introduction post so done can get to know you.

5280Stogie, you have to pick someone up and after you send you ask the question. Then someone picks you up. Read the first post for details.

Recommend an intro post in gen discussion so the folks can get to know you

You could pick up SOB since he is up, so then you would send to him, then it is your turn to be up or pass your turn. Then someone will pick you up.

Sorry boys, I should have read the 1st post a few more times.

So for my First introduction post..... my name is Dane, like great Dane. Haha. Sorry everone gets it wrong the first time, anyway I work in Healthcare for Veterans. Love my job and wouldn't do anything else. My first cigar was in Las Vegas with my old man about 20yrs ago.. he is the person who got me hooked on cigars. I love all cigars. I'm not a noob nor a veteran with cigars but I know a tiny bit. I'm from and live in Colorado.

I'm a big fan of all Connecticut's and Padron is a fav. But I really want to find some good daily smokes that won't make the wife leave me because im paying for pricey cigars everyday. Haha

Well thats a little bit about me, please ask me questions if you have any.

And now ill send some smokes to who ever is next up.... just pm me and send me an address.

This is an awsome group and can't wait to let people experience what I smoke and what all of you are smoking.

Sun, I just received your package. Damn, the bomb got here fast, and a bomb it was!

Southern Draw Cedrus, Belicoso - Never Had
Hoyo de Monterrey Dark Sumatra, Robusto - Never Had
AJ Fernandez San Lotano Requiem, Robusto - Never Had
Partagas 1845 Cifuentes y Cia, Robusto - Never Had
Asylum 13 Ogre, Robusto - Never Had
Punch Chop Suey, Panatela - Never Had
Macanudo Inspirado Black, Toro - Never Had
La Aurora Untamed, Toro - Never Had, doesn’t look like they make these anymore
CAO Nicaragua, Toro - Never Had
Hoyo de Tradicion, Robusto - Never Had
Partagas Habana-Cuba, Petite Corona? - Never Had, and will be my first Cuban.

1) A whole list of new cigars to try, with a cuban too. Thank you very much Sun, again I'm amazed by the generosity of this group.
Now, for two other points of conversation. I noticed on your cigars you are labeling them with dates and where you purchased, is this a common way of cataloging? I haven't started cataloging, but I would like to now that my collection is getting pretty big. Any suggestions / preferences?
2) 5280 Picked up Cheno, since he is new, do we need to wait for the tracking number before I pick him up, or can I pick him up as soon as he asks the question?

Also.. Good morning guys.

Nice hit SOB, the habana is one of my faves.
1. Dating is common especially if you let them rest for a while. Some will improve some won’t with age.
2. Wait until the shipping is posted and the question is asked.

Well it should get there fast. It's a straight shot down 65.

Glad they made it safely and hope there are some you enjoy in there.
The Partagas 1845 is their Black Label blend
The Kooban is a Partagas Short officially, but yeah, a petit corona. It's a tasty little smoke. For clarity not the same company as the Dominican Partagas

I didn't do the dating thing for a while, but started losing track of whom I got smokes from. So I finally gave in to Palama's label shaming Sarcasm and overhauled my collection

I think using @ in front of names doesn’t work here. Or does it? On a different area I frequent it notifies I can’t seem to quote messages on my phone either. Dam noob

Jake, seems your package has stalled out in New Jersey. Maybe Tony Soprano and boys decided to see if there was anything in there they wanted to smoke? Lol! Good thing I put a Boveda pack in with them. Should still get to you in perfect condition.

I don't think the @ does anything here. To be able to quote you need to be signed in. The forum is strange in that you can see your username up top and still not be signed in.
I tried doing the labeling and quickly fell off the habit because I'm just lazy that way. But I do usually try to print out my list when hit so I can attribute the stick to the gifter. Sometimes things fall thru the crack tho. The lazy thing again. I used to just write on the label if it was in cello. Naked sticks I would make a little band out of paper and tape.
