Killed the bottle of Johnnie Walker 18. Delicate, yet complex. But too delicate to buy again. Too many other good scotches, and to be honest, better JW's, to buy again. If you like delicate but complex scotches, you should give it a try.

^ what’s a good affordable scotch. I’ve only had a couple and decided scotch wasn’t for me? Maybe I’ll try again

Do like peaty or non-peaty? Laphroaig 10 ($65) is a good peaty scotch and Balvenie Double Wood ($90) is a good non-peaty single malt. Johnnie Walker Red ($40) or Black ($50) would be a good intro into blended scotch. All mtn CO prices, probably cheaper in the big cities.

Them are good.

2 oz whiskey, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, 3/4 oz simple syrup. Delicious.

Yep sounds about right. Think I do a glug glug of bourbon 1 whole lemon and splash of simple syrup. Adjust to taste.

High West Cask Strength bourbon blend for one of my local liquor stores. Very easy nose for a CS. Tastes like peanut brittle and pepper, nice barrel finish and good viscosity too, just a touch oily.

1792. Me and my homie finished it all in one setting. With red wine and beers. Good times 😂

Old tub

Poured a double from my infinity bottle. I’ve got a damn respectable blend going on. I’m really happy with it. I only add what I really like. Reminds me of Buffalo trace. Though there’s no Buffalo trace in it. I like Buffalo trace but only at 40$. Not the outrageous prices they ask for.

$29 for Buffalo Trace at the exchange... limit 1 per customer. Not sure why as it is not rare or hard to find. I am really hoping they get Blanton's again. I missed it last time. Dude in front of me got the last bottle... they keep them behind the registers.

Yup. 25$ for BT in Texas. Haven’t seen it yet this year in Wyoming. Hope to hit the store in Cody Friday

I’d pay 30$ for Buffalo trace all day. I’d even keep a bottle around. They get 55$ plus around here. Only reason I don’t buy it.

I have a full bottle and about 1/3rd of a bottle. I keep stock of the stuff I like.

8track can attest to the small collection I have going. It's nothing crazy, but I do have some good hooch.

Drool

Word from one of the guys at the lounge, the price of ER actually went down.

It will be that, or 4RSB tomorrow.

Was able to get another bottle of ER at the exchange... so the one we finished has been replaced. Back to 2 in stock. :)

Lost whiskey club story 70 barrel 91. Like it pretty well sorta sweet but there’s definitely a rye finish I like quite a bit.

Bulleit

Our son’s new “person of interest“ works as an account executive (aka “ sales person”) for a large national alcohol distributor and when we met her last week, she said she’d get me some bourbon. Son brought over 375s of both bourbon and rye on Wednesday. Think I’m gonna like this young woman. Smile

Added to the collection today: Henry McKenna 10 year single barrel / bottled in bond. Found it in the exchange... last bottle. Never had, look forward to trying it.

Blanton's Original. Somebody found it for me and shipped it to me. Never had this one, either... definitely looking forward to trying it.

Alberta Premium LE Cask Strength Rye

A local store had this rye last summer on some kind of a clearance or sale and I bought a bottle for Manhattan duty. Just killed the first bottle. Bought a second bottle for the cabinet halfway into the first bottle. 127proof, Noilly Prat Vermouth, Angastura orange bitters, ice 2:1:2 2oz 1oz 2dash. Helluva a cocktail
