"What does the Fox say"
I dont know why this became a hit with my kids and their friends. I have heard it over and over and over and over and over.
No kids here. But I do consider it (with the video) to be a great piece of work. Comedic genius, maybe.
As to the other songs listed in this thread....except maybe the Yoko and ABBA stuff, none would be any where near top of my 'worst songs' list. Many of them are pretty good music, in fact. Blanket damnations of Elvis C, Stones, Springsteen? Really?
They're a number of artists that I can't stand, but I recognize something in them and give a bit of credit; John Denver, Barry Manilow, ABBA, Carpenters come to mind.
Something like "We Built this City" is easily justifiable as a Worst Song - not only does it have zero redeeming music value, some of the artists involved have been key to some incredible music: Bernie Taupin, Grace Slick....they should have known better. This was a kick in the nuts coming from lineage that produced Surrealistic Pillow, Red Octopus, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.....
Or, Ebony and Ivory...another disaster from artists who should have known better....makes me shudder just thinking about it.....I almost wonder if Paul and Stevie were just f'n with us
