I keep hearing that from folks that don't speak to many here legally. I'm around a lot of "legals" and don't get that sense. Voting patterns don't seem to bear that out either.

There is a bridge downtown where a bunch of them hang out. The contractors that come by daily in pick ups to hire them on a daily basis don't seem very upset either. It's in a part of town with a huge mix of legal and non. No one seems very pissed off.

So am I genius as I'm in the contracting business and I DO NOT HIRE THEM unless they are here legally and or already a citizen. And I HAVE spoken to many who ARE PISSED OFF!! So you and others keep on thinking what you will. Just because greedy **** hire them doesn't make it right or LEGAL.

I didn't say it was right or legal. I'm just not sure the generalizations are true.

From my experience the Hispanic community around here seems pretty sympathetic to illegals and allows them to hide in plain site. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying it's right.

As a matter of fact as a result I've been in some very uncomfortable situations. I've been immersed it it more than I cared to be.

Weird thing to me. The community is very wary of government. Anti government. The "legals" push back at anything requiring id, social security numbers, etc. yet the vote the party of big government (when they vote. The irony there is low turn out sometimes because even though they are legit they still fear government so the whole argument of growing a voting block as a motivation rings hollow to me)

It would seam that should make the republicans their party. Especially if you really believe they are pissed about the illegal thing. If the republicans really believe that then they should continue on the same path and they will capture the legal Latin vote. Something tells me there is a disconnect there.

That's not to say some don't think that way. I just don't think it's most.

Republican actions are somehow alienating this group. It's not a messaging thing it's actions. Why is that? If you really believe it's all the illegals voting or some such nonsense you've already lost. It's something else. The sooner republicans get rid of some if the misnomers and false realities the sooner they can play the game. But if they keep clinging to falsehoods they hold true game over in that community.

If the Hispanic community is so upset about the illegal issue they would be actively trying to solve it and outing illegals. I suppose some groups are but it's not large scale. If they were Muslim we'd be outraged.

Oh yea in their communities actions also speak louder than words. The proper formal answer is to be outraged and say we need to do domething and I'm legal so they should blah blah blah. The gringos eat that **** up.

I dunno... that sounds like a lot of effort for drafter to exert.

He'd probably just give up and get a sandwich or 4.

It amazes me how you Liberal minded trolls want to adhere to " chosen passages " from our countries historical past writings that " fit well " into your World view of things but Dump all over the ones you adamantly disagree with.....Shame on you

First and Foremost....they ARE Law Breakers who are simply taking advantage of our Federal Governments refusal to Uphold Our Laws....PERIOD

Well there you go, you do get to " think " whatever you like....it does NOT change the Facts.....they're law breakers and so are those who propose re writing our Laws to fit their view of things!!

Take this article for instance.....they wouldn't be trying to line up prospective voters......would they?? #-

Being a law and order person I am sure all the other law and order folk beleive the rancher squatting on the federal land letting his cattle graze ilegally should leave, pay his back taxes and\or shut down operations. it is the law. he is the law breaker and so are those who propose re writing our Laws or obstructing our governments ability to enfoce them.

That would include the folks who stop busses of immigrants from central and south american countries \that are going through the process as laid out in the 2008 law. Sure the folks don't like that law but you can't be selective. I hear folks are looking at rewriting that law as we speak. law breakers!

we all chose out of convienience. even me. its not unusual.

it's not hard to find inconsistency and hypocracy. I'm full of it (some would add an sh to the beginning). But it's funny when folks pretend they are not.

I'm a little confused here.

How is proposing rewriting a law illegal? Hell.... that sounds suspiciously like "talking".
