Is it worth it to you to contact CS over one cigar??

A cigar that carries MSRP of $14 but got for $5 here. I hate contacting them for a single replacement but it's just so frustrating. Yeah if I bought them from a competitive retailer or B&M I would have paid a lot more for the remaining 4 of the 5 pack. But should CBID not be held accountable for onesies and twosies simply because they provide a decent discount?

For the record it was an AFR 75 Sublime. This thing is cracked all up and down the stick. I already tossed it in frustration.

Yes it is. We can issue a refund for that one stick - we do it all the time. Why? Because we do take responsibility for the damage, even if we ask you to hold onto the box so we can do a claim with UPS. Ultimately, we take the responsibility to fix the issue.

So give them a call. You have 54 minutes before the end of the day! Wink

Certainly, the CS gals are going to put you on mute and say crass things about the whiner calling about one stick. But, then they're going to thank you, because THEY more than anyone else at all of CI want us to be happy with their product and will make it right. Besides, they might even send a note back to the warehouse to check and make sure they don't have a whole bunch of cracked sticks that will eventually result in a bunch more calls to them.

Hopefully, by now you have contacted CS. But, you forgot to ask them to delete this thread.

Lol kombat, you know I could never be on the same membership level as you.

Anthony, I haven't contacted them and don't plan on it. Not worth my time or theirs. I am, however, genuinely curious as to what others feel about the situation which is why I don't want this thread deleted.

I've picked option one numerous times with satisfactory resolution, but that was for multiple sticks at a time.

Robert - Why not call them? - the worst they could say is "No we can't help" anything better than that is a plus. My experience is that CS goes out of their way to make the customer (you) happy - even at their own expense. Even more relevant because this is not a cheap cigar - regardless of the price you paid. You bid on it because you wanted it.

Sometimes the CS staff might actually like to hear from the board regulars and you can tell them what a great job they are doing while you are on the phone - compliments are free and go a long way for your cause. CS reps usually only hear complaints all day - they need a compliment every now and again - how about it?

Robert you have to ask yourself, do you want to be on the level of anything that would allow ME as a member? Can't be good.

I woulda drove it there and broke it off in someone's azz. Demand satisfaction robert, perhaps a duel with whoever packed the box.

If you're truly worried about what others think, then include a poll. My vote would be: if it concerns you enough to start a thread then you should have called CS.

IMHO, I think the real purpose of this thread is a veiled public complaint about a crappy cigar.

For a smoke like that? No way.

But if it had been a Gurkha. I'd demand an upgrade to the super-secret titanium ligero membership for all of 2015 and 2016, then platinum for life afterwards.

I had a very bad experience with my last order from them. A cheap cigar cutter ruined cigars from the very first cut and ahumidor that didnt seal properly. Was not impressed with their customer service but Trish seems like she knows how to take care of her customers. Maybe I will order again...I hate the thought of the other bid sites!! Cbid has been good to me other than that

Thanks

I think it is absolutely worth the time to call and let CS know that the condition in which the package arrived didn't meet your total satisfaction. (notice I didn't say call and complain, or call and demand a refund)

Calling CS can provide CBID invaluable information and feedback to help them improve their process. And if done well, you can even have them thanking you for the call. Just think of how many people may get 1 damaged cigar(or even just read about it on a public forum, and decide to never order again(but not give CBID the opportunity). By calling and letting them know, you are giving a chance to retain future customers, as well as improving your own overall experience.

I say call em, but who really wants the opinion of the guys on this forum? ? fog

The REAL question is did you get your "Girls of CBid Customer Service in Thongs 2015" calendar yet? Or are those only for FGM?

I've tossed a few cracked cigars over the years. I don't sweat it enough to waste my time, or theirs, when it only concerns one cigar.

WOW! I didn't even know there was such a thing!

In all seriousness, shoot us an email or give us a call and we will be more than willing to take care of this and any other issues anyone may have. That's what we are here for Wink

Which means it's time for to put out the 2015 version. You're not an "official" lady of CBid until you have a thong picture.

I will tell you WHY you want this thread deleted.

Because posting complaints and overbid threads are like horse

AND..............

Posting on either topic is like teaching a pig to sing. It just wastes your time and annoys the pig....

They don't work weekends so keep that in mind. I've never had them not respond so I'm sure they're just catching up.
