I'm surprised I haven't seen this topic discussed here.(maybe I missed it)
Abortion is murder, selling body parts is disgusting. To see the callous way it was discussed in the under cover videos saddens me tremendously.
Planned Parenthood killed 90,000 black babies last year...

Thanks Margaret Sanger

I can't wait to hear our resident Libs here defend this...

It F'ing wrong, but those that want unlimited abortion will be happy to make jokes and crush their little carcass into the dirt.

Not much chance to change any minds, not even with the most grisly facts.

I find it odd that Planned Parenthood is fighting laws that require women to see an Ultrasound of their babies before making the final decision whether or not to kill the child...

I wonder why ?

Well, if you hold that the moring after pill, or abortion in the first trimester is "murder", that would be a moral view base in religious belief. Now we may debate the honest point of biology where abortion is a murderous act. But I know that wheel, as a part time Catholic, feels that all abortion is murder. Which typifies a religious belief. And put his nose in side women's wombs (he'll like that analogy).

Let's face it, a woman being denied an abortion at eight weeks, is dealing with someone's religious values. And no other thought out point of reason.

Do you want a law passed requiring you get your butthole scoped before being allowed to decide on having a tonsilectomy?

Vic,
"IF" I didn't know you just being your regular contrarian self, then I would be mortified that you would equate a Tonsilectome with the mutilation of a baby and the bartering for it's body parts. That is beneath even you...

keeping on being yourself !

Ultrasound isn't invasive in any way. The reason Planned Parenthood is fighting it is when the mothers hear the heart beat and see the life within them many change their decision.

There's money and an agenda to be had, so PP ain't down with that.

Alrighty then, if it's a choice, let's allow a Mother to exercise that choice one minute after birth or one day or a year or two, quoting Hillary, "What difference does it make?"

Most religions frown on murder, going to make that exempt too?

Usually you make pretty cogent arguments, not this time. Even an atheist could see the wrong in what PP is doing. You are trying to make it a religious argument and it's not going to fly. Did you even watch the videos or just knee jerk react, as most hard core abortion promoters?

Oh get over your righteous religious crap. The world is overpopulated and unless you want to raise these unwanted children yourselves and pay the mothers for the time and pain it takes to have them, get off the pulpit. This whole video program has been started as a way to prevent legal abortions and is probably more BS than fact.

You're kidding, right?

You do realize that until the fetus reaches a certain size, an ultrasound is in fact an invasive procedure. I've watched one myself. In fact, in the first 6 weeks it's very unlikely you're going to be able to see anything in a non-transvaginal ultrasound (5-9mm is not big). So if you really want to demand an ultrasound, it'd be only fair to extend the period at which abortions are legal (say 3rd to 20th trimester?), otherwise you're just intentionally shrinking the window in which a woman is allowed to make said choice.

This is a bit of a specious argument isn't it.

1 - if you want to extend abortions up to 18 years, I'm fine with that. Law doesn't recognize them as an adult yet, then as far as I'm concerned the parent is responsible for their life and/or death.

2 - Why do you care whether "most religions frown on murder"? A religion frowning or not frowning on something is not the basis for law in our country under any conditions. To say otherwise is a sign your opinion on any law is in question.

3 - " Even an atheist could see the wrong in what PP is doing." I'm an atheist and see nothing wrong in what pp is doing. To make an assumption as to what someone else would think is simply dumb.

You appear to feel pretty strong about that overpopulation idea. I'd like to suggest a retroactive abortion, if I'm not the first and I doubt I am, consider it a second or whatever number you are up to. You obviously have led a sad and troubled life as you only seem to be happy chewing on ankles and that can't be all that satisfying anyway. I really doubt your convictions are that strong however, so yap on little dog, yap on. Beer

Speaking of specious...

You'll have to read posts 8 and 12 to understand the religious reference, or just assume and rant on. The entire 'religious' argument is just tempest in a teapot; there are religious people that think abortion if fine. Oh, and I didn't introduce religion to the discussion.

No assumption was made, you do not represent the minds of all atheists and I said, "an atheist" not all.

Gene, I agree you were not the first one to bring religious beliefs in to the discussion.

However, someone accusing you of religious beliefs regarding abortion is not opening the door to allowing religion as a barometer for the legality or illegality of murder.

Law is law and religion is religion. Neither should be a basis for influencing the other. Neither is a rational argument when discussing the other.

meh we go through this conversation periodically (usually started by wheel). It's pretty hard to take either side seriously with all the vitriol, self importance and my religion is better than yours crap.

it's just as constructive in here to debate what is easier to unload, a ton of dead babies or a ton of feathers. We all know it's the dead babies because you can use a pitch fork but some will argue the feathers till the end.
