Polifact had yet to find him telling the truth as of several days ago. More stuff is coming out, like at least 6 malpractice suits, lying about knifing someone in his youth. I'm leaning towards believing that the GOP selects token blacks for the purpose of saying they are not racist, knowing or perhaps even leaking negative things as they become highly rated in the polls. Remember the business man from the last election.

You are such a demmy drone.

Clarence Thomas a "token" to you? Your slavery/segregationist/KKK party tried to run him out, because he "wasn't the right type of black man." So if a black man thinks for himself and decides he is a conservative, your party calls him "Uncle Tom" or a black man that "turns his back on his own." So, keep the black man as unthinking sheep that just vote "D" on the ballot, no matter what.

THAT is racist

Guy is brilliant and your side tries to "Bork" him. Fake testimony by Anita Hill.. where was all the NAACP leaders to back him on frivolous attacks?

You get 90% of the black vote and you have how many Demmy Senators that are black? 1%? Hypocrite.

You elect a man, because he is black. Doesn't matter that he is a socialist "rules for radicals" follower. Or that he attended a church for 20 years and got married by a "preacher" that hates America and Jews. And it certainly doesn't matter the abuses of his office he carries out. Making laws by fiat, ignoring parts of existing laws he doesn't like, using IRS to target citizens...The list is too long to go into here.

Your party is constantly brining up race and genitalia, because your ideas SUCK and you have no other play book other than, "Repubs. are racist, women haters, old people killers." You probably believe that women actually make 77% of what males do for the same job.

There is not one government program that Pelosi for brains thinks can be cut or ended all together (except the military).
So you continue to blow up the debt and ignore the actuaries for medicare and social security.

The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other peoples money. -Maggy Thatcher

How does it feel to belong to an old , revisionist socialist/communist/statists party komrad?

Brilliant? Really? Perhaps his brilliance lies in the fact that he hasn't uttered two words in all the years he's been on the bench. Or perhaps he's content to keep silent and let everyone think he's a fool rather than speak & eliminate all doubt.

The guy is a relentless mindless GOP kool-aid drinker.

ANYONE...and I mean ANYONE that doesn't fall lock step with him is immediately a liberal Democrat.

He's a keyboard commando on a one-way mission.

Imagine that day...they day when he finds out that his beloved party drops him off at the curb and tells him they're through with him. He's going to snap.

Oh well...it's always the lemmings that walk off the cliff!

So tony ISN'T a liberal democrat?Think

As I have stated before I am not "for the GOP", I am for taking back the republican party and turning back to conservativism, or founding principles.

The dems are so far off the rails now. It would help if they had something to point to and tell the citizenry where they are headed.

I hold up the Constitution and say that there is where I want to head to. Where is your blueprint, Mr. "Natural Selection?"

I pointed out tony's hypocrisy in saying that the republicans trot out tokens and don't really back their minorities and how the democrat party always smears a conservative black person and never has their backs.

As ZRX posted, the politico (which is a left wing rag) will not respond to Carson's and the daily caller's inquiries. The story lies and makes you think that Carson says he applied and was accepted to West Point but that ain't the truth.

From the Politico piece:

"If offered admission, all costs are covered for all students; indeed there are no 'full scholarships,' per se.-"

So if you are a 17 yr old kid and are told that you could be admitted if you apply and all costs are covered.. that is like a scholarship ain't it? You aren't paying for anything, so semantics?

Then later in the piece:

"Carson has said he turned down the supposed offer of admission because he knew he wanted to be a doctor and attending West Point would have required four years of military service after graduation."

So politico is just trying to bring Carson down here.. because he is not the "right kind of black man" in their book.

Not sure why DMV (sweet acronym) has a hate on for Carson and seemingly every other conservative.. Maybe he is just trying to tick me off.

His written decisions are incredibly intellectual.

You don't have to be a great orator to be brilliant.

The Gettysburg Addy was a mere 3 min long.
Ed Everett was considered the brilliant man and most incredible orator of his time and spoke for 2 hours before Lincoln.
He told Lincoln after his speech that Lincoln nailed the central theme in less than 3 min better than Everett did in 2 hours.

Is Lincoln a dummy too?

How about Coolidge?

Carson is no conservative. He has nothing to back that up but his word and it's looking like he's a liar.

Calvin Coolidge: Impact and Legacy

Although the public liked and admired Calvin Coolidge during his tenure, the Great Depression that began in 1929 seriously eroded his reputation and changed public opinion about his policies. Many linked the nation's economic collapse to Coolidge's policy decisions. His failure to aid the depressed agricultural sector seems shortsighted, as nearly five thousand rural banks in the Midwest and South shut their doors in bankruptcy while many thousands of farmers lost their lands. His tax cuts contributed to an uneven distribution of wealth and the overproduction of goods. Many Americans were deeply in debt for having purchased consumer goods on easy installment credit terms.

Coolidge's foreign policy also fell into some disrepute when it became clear that his signature achievements, including the Dawes Plan and the Kellogg-Briand Pact, did little to prevent the rise of Nazism in Germany or the resurgence of international hostilities. The peace of the 1920s faded almost as quickly as the prosperity. But Coolidge also led the nation, if passively, into the modern era. He was a bridge between two epochs.

Carson was on the radio earlier, he never denied his violent past it's what pushed him to change his life. The person he tried (but didn't) to stab was a relative who doesn't want to be involved in the schit show. He never said he even applied to W.P. he said that people from W.P. told him that they could get him accepted.

What gets me, I FULLY believe he never had any intention of being anything but a doctor. So why would W.P. be important to him.

I am not a Carson supporter, but I'm not gonna take part in a lynch mob when all this CRAP is from Jr high (violence) and apparently the Politico not understanding that getting into W.P. usually requires athletic & academic standards and a recommendation. Which IF his story IS true is very much a recommendation.

Legend has it that a reporter told Cal that he had bet his editor he could make the President say three words in answering his press conference question.

Coolidge replied, "you lose".

Reagan had a pic of FDR on his desk I believe.

http://www.economist.com/news/books-and-arts/21572176-americas-30th-president-has-been-much-misunderstood-when-less-led-more

"Mr Coolidge’s hallmark was distrust of government. He saw it as an entity that uses “despotic exactions” (taxes) that sap individual initiative and prosperity across the board.
During Coolidge’s tenure American debt fell by one-third, the tax rate by half and unemployment collapsed.
As a lawyer and in a series of elected positions in western Massachusetts, he acquired a reputation for speaking rarely but knowing a lot.
Coolidge felt that his duty to the public did not include protecting Washington’s influence, and he set to shrinking it."-

Hoover, not Coolidge, was the president in office during the depression. The new deal programs were his brainchild and FDR ran with them and exacerbated the great depression with his policies.
Hoover raised tariffs, income taxes, estate taxes, corporate taxes, slapped a tax on all bank checks, created a trade war with his protectionist policies (Smoot-Hawely). All this curtailed economic growth.
Hoover was a Republican and Hoover SUCKED with his big government policies.

But blame it all on Coolidge.. just like Der Leader blames everything on Bush.

Cal was the man.

Not only did Coolidge's administration set things up for a depression (with Hoover as a Cabinet member), but he also was an isolationist and his actions as such brought an end to an effective League of Nations, enabling fascism to prosper and arm for WWII.

So you can attribute the Nazi regime to Coolidge? That is a long limb you like to walk out on.

You sure think funny for a "former republican."

None of this explains the disdain for Ben Carson.

The vitriol spewed at him and Cruz and Trump is ridiculous.

Establishment government guys have screwed this country up for 100 years, constantly moving left.

So you and your ilk try and paint Carson as a dummy and discredit him.

The dummy that was the head brain surgeon at Johns Hopkins... what an idiot Carson must be.
