Actually his popularity is based on deep seated bigotry of stupid people that believe the lies he spouts. He tells the truth 7% of the time, but that doesn't seem to phase the idiots that believe everything he says.

What lies are those?

All I've heard from him, is him throw that PC BS out the window, then say what the vast majority of people are thinking.

Don't get much more simple than that.

All I'm getting from him...

1. Illegal Immigration is bad
2. Say no to islamic refugees / immigrants
3. Bring more jobs back to the states
4. Discourage H1B visas (plenty of talent here, just not at the pricepoint locked in foreigners can provide)
5. And incessant boasting of "the numbers"

That's pretty much all I've heard him say, can't say I disagree with him. All the rest of the politicians are a bunch of PC chumps trying to avoid offending anyone, Trump don't care who he offends.


I like your 7% though, we all know that 98.24% of all statistics are made up on the fly, pretty sure this one was too.

Seems to me like he does a lot of grand standing. And while I get that people love the lack of PC, it would be hard claim that he is taking the high road on issues.

I can quote you lots of facts, but it has been found that Trump supporters don't care about facts. Presented with facts, a group of them continued to believe what Trump said over those facts (remind you of anyone here ?). The latest I heard was that Trump said at a rally that there were 6 million people over the age of 112 receiving social security payments. He said it was something someone told him and he doesn't have time to fact check. The real number is 13, but you will never convince most of the Trumpnuts that it is.

To me (but I'm not a liberal) Trump isn't scary. He's a buffoon. The only thing scary is people's reaction to him.... every time he doubles down on the stupid he gets more voters. The only thing trump is going to do is force people to vote for Clinton because there isn't a viable candidate on the other side.

I'd rather not have Clinton as president. I'm tired of her. But Trump really isn't a threat. the only republicans who could be a threat would be ones who can get votes from moderates.... and you have to practically go to the second tier debate group before you find those.
