recently kinda discovered PBS series Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates JR.
Research is amazingly well done, scholarly.

Tonight was about Audra McDonald (sp?) and Mandy Patinkin.
Not that I'd have ever thought to ask nor care about their "roots", but this show reduces them to humans with whom we can identify and therefore care about.

Some sweet and painful emotions. It's the common human experience.

The Eagle Has Landed (1977).
Quite a cast. Michael Caine, Donald Sutherland, Robert Duvall, and Treat Williams.
Was about a German plot to kidnap Churchill.
Donald Plesance looks more like Himmler than Himmler.

Been watching that for half a decade. Was a great show. Then the Floyd Thing happened and they couldn’t resist pushing the slavery background of just about every black guest, and seemed to fall all over themselves putting the spotlight on the remotest of connection between white guests and slave ownership.

Some stories have wild, nearly unbelievable twists.

Catch the earlier seasons, if you can.

The Undoing.

Psychological thriller. No loud car chases, explosions, hundreds of rounds of ammo fired or any other shenanigans. Just a modern Who Dunit series on Max (f.k.a. HBO\Max).

Five episodes in, of a total of six.

Edgy.

A movie that was what I've been clamoring for that Hollywood tries hard not to make.

They Cloned Tyronne on Netflix.

Its a "Superfly" meets "Inception".
