The bastions of conservative versus liberal tendencies has predated "sexual identity" by about 4,000 years.
Sure, there were gay people in pre-biblical times. But they weren't identified by their sexual tendencies. They were who they were. People cared or they didn't.
Nowadays we are expected to accept and embrace. Lest we take the verboten decision to comment or critique and be labeled a hater.
At the end of the day, the LGBT crowd is no less a hate filled organization as the right wing bible thumpers.
