So... I would file this under "who cares"?
Our money gets redesigned occasionally. Putting someone new on a bill is complete pandering... But so was choosing the original people. Any time you choose one person or group or image or another to be represented you're pandering to supporters/fans of that group or person.

If you're angry about pandering, stop and ask yourself why you care. The pandering was already there. Are you just upset that the pandering is to some other group other than yourself?
