Now it's time to make tough decisions.

Maybe we can double the number of security people at gay bars by taking them away from the schools.

We need to protect the lgbt community above all else.

Killing homosexuals is a hate crime with enhanced penalties. Doing the same to regular school kids is not.

At least our politicians have made their priorities clear.

Brewha, why do armed LGBTs scare you? And yes, if they were armed they may have been able to shoot back, or do you believe LGBTs cannot shoot?

This is the issue a truly maladjusted man loosing his mind.

And there is the issues of what role ISIS may have played in his actions.

And the issue of how easy it is for people to get kind of fire power he used.

But - let's not let theses fact get in the way of good old Cbid discourse. I think we all know that the shooter was really working for Obama so he can get is "Disarm America" legislations thought......

It's more an issue about the current administration having their collective heads up their pooper when it comes to islamic terrorism threats.

If you don't believe the ultimate goal of gun control is their ultimate removal you are either in agreement with their agenda or fool. Oh sure, there is talk of common sense controls, but they mean nothing to criminals or terrorists.

As for facts, it isn't easy to obtain a rifle, you need a background check. However, political correctness and the refusal of the current administration to acknowledge the threat of islamic terrorists prevented this guy from getting a, "Not Approved" background check. It wouldn't surprise me if that same PC ignorance didn't help him get his government contract job guarding the movement of refugees.

OTOH, he could have gone shopping for a pressure cooker, so the gun issue is just another distraction. Unfortunately, the only one that distraction will hurt is the law abiding gun buyer.

Perhaps his travels are more significant given the fact that he was investigated for 2 terrorism related events by the FBI, and that he murdered 49 people and injured 53 people, 5 of whom are still in grave condition.

I concur on the maladjusted loss of mind.
But:

Seems to me that MOST times ISIS plays a role in the decision making, people die.
and
MOST times Americans purchase a firearm, people don't die.

Yet you are clearly comparing the two as if they're equivalent.

^^^ THIS.....and not one of those who support Obummer / Clinton talking points will ADMIT PUBLICLY for everyone to hear....He could have done The Same amount of Damage had he simply chosen one or two ( you choose the maker ) SEMI AUTOMATIC pistols with a pocket full of magazines!!! And truth be told, in a " soft target zone " of which he chose ( NO GUNS ALLOWED" ) he knew full well there would be NOONE to challenge or STOP him.

They still want to remove any possibility of an otherwise law abiding citizen from enjoying their FULL 2nd Amend. rights and owning an AR-15 SEMI AUTOMATIC rifle.

Off Duty policeman? I believe he withdrew and the police waited some time before reacting, but I hate to draw any conclusion until the entire tragedy is examined under a microscope.

If true I hope she rots in jail.

I'm not suggesting or hoping this to be true.... but has the husband wife privilege ever been tested in this sort of case? Would the abusive husband defense work?

I don't know if it would apply towards open acts of terrorism.

She KNEW something was going to happen...she KNEW what he was up to. She KNEW he was into abusing her so if she lets him terrorize the general population she's off the hook?

Shame on you

True, we need an expert:

Quote:
90.504 Husband-wife privilege. (1) A spouse has a privilege during and after the marital relationship to refuse to disclose, and to prevent another from disclosing, communications which were intended to be made in confidence between the spouses while they were husband and wife. (2) The privilege may be claimed by either spouse or by the guardian or conservator of a spouse. The authority of a spouse, or guardian or conservator of a spouse, to claim the privilege is presumed in the absence of contrary evidence. (3) There is no privilege under this section: (a) In a proceeding brought by or on behalf of one spouse against the other spouse. (b) In a criminal proceeding in which one spouse is charged with a crime committed at any time against the person or property of the other spouse, or the person or property of a child of either. (c) In a criminal proceeding in which the communication is offered in evidence by a defendant-spouse who is one of the spouses between whom the communication was made.

Although it seems counter-intuitive, the husband in this case could not refuse to testify against his own wife if subpoenaed by the state. He could always refuse to show up in court, or show up and refuse to testify, but then he would be subjecting himself to the risk of being found in contempt of court.

The marital privilege, therefore, only applies to statements made by one spouse to another during the course of their marriage. The privilege can be asserted by either spouse.

Tell'em Howard..!! Laugh

Howard Stern gave his two cents on the gun control debate following the Orlando terrorist attack Sunday night.

"I'm so upset about Orlando and what went down," Stern said on his show Wednesday. "But I can't believe these people would come out afterward and their answer to Orlando is to take away guns from the public. It's f----ing mind-blowing to me."

Stern then went on to make an analogy comparing the public to sheep, the terrorists to wolves and the military and police to sheepdogs.

"Now, let’s say I walked up literally to a sheep herd, and they know that every night the wolves pick off a couple of them,” Stern said. “What if I went up to the sheep and I said, ‘You wanna have a shot at the wolves? I’m gonna give you a pistol. You can actually even the playing field with these wolves whose fangs are out — you could shoot them and save your family.'"

Stern said he's anti-violence and admits that he couldn't "hurt a fly" if confronted and labels himself as a sheep. But, he said, "there are such horrible monsters in our world."

"The wolves are always plotting. They’ll use boxcutters. They’ll use an airplane to fly it right into a building. They don’t need AR-15s."

The outspoken SiriusXm personality said he's not for "taking away people’s rights," adding he thinks "the answer doesn't lie in taking any kind of ability of the sheep to protect themselves from the wolves. I wish it was that simple."
