Okay, i think I have this sorted out!

Education and liquor stores are considered essential services around here, so if everyone brings a book to read, drinks straight from the bottle, stays six feet apart, and we register the place under an Idaho zip code, we should be golden!

I just figured if we were using Y chromosome measuring standards with a 6” benchmark, your arms really only need to be about 3.5-4 feet long, right?

Have a shot of vodka sanitizer...one for the inside and one for the outside!

Hey Delta! Alive and kicking!

Hey, I don’t claim responsibility for the measuring standard; I’m thinking whoever it was probably endorses common core math. (Side note: all of this learn-at-home going on may be the DEATH KNELL of common core math! Kids WILL know how to carry and borrow with their gen x parents managing the matter!

Been prepping for back-to-school up in the classroom, but...now our district says we’re soft-closed for the remainder of the year, and my empty classroom will just continue to echo. Bah. Even the princess is getting bummed; we went from “this online stuff is GREAT!! I get to see my classmates but I don’t have to sit in a room with them and I can mute them whenever I want!” to “seriously - we’re such a small school, they could reopen and still have no more than ten in a classroom if they reorganize the schedule a little. It’s like they don’t even miss us...”
They do, kiddo...
Graduation ceremony is still on, though, so that’s something! Now we just have to get college sorted out...no one has the slightest clue what is going on there.

Basically, I really got to missing “take your finger out of your nose, take your hand out of your pants, go wash your hands, don’t eat stuff off the floor, stop drawing on your friends, take that out of your mouth, we are not drawing anatomically complete self portraits, put that back in your pants, don’t lick that, don’t lick him, GROUP HUG,” so I figured I’d pop in and get my fix here! 😂

hahaha...you nailed this place exquisitely...

TW has hosted a virtual herf ...a week or so ago...everyone who participated, around 29 total members, reported that it was an enjoyable way to meet and greet and shoot da shat during stay at home orders

he and a few other guys with access to Zoom accounts are seriously trying to set up another...when it's a go, if they invite me, I'll pass on the access link...hope you can join us

That sounds amazing! I have to learn Zoom...the school has been using a google hangout/meets for school things; I want to be able to connect with the class families on a more accessible platform, and a lot of the class parents suggested Zoom. At this point, Zoom is a show I used to watch on channel 13...when the skies were clear and the antenna was adjusted properly 😂

I actually posted yesterday or the day before that you were missed!
Did someone send up the Bat Signal in the Eastern sky?

I don't know if this is scientifically sound but my chest cough just dried up!
How I've missed you...

Awwww...thanks, Frank! I missed chatting with you!
Actually, I was talking to Numi (Or Z? Pretty sure that one was a Numi convo...) on FB a few days ago and mentioned that I missed you guys and should pop in, now that my life consists largely of downtime and missing my classroom! Hold off on the bat signal, though; we can’t confirm the origin of the bats or whether or not they have been thoroughly cooked.

He says "reported" as he ghosted us. d'oh!

So yeah, "if" they invite him back. It was great having him though.

We all sat there staring at his inscrutable mug not moving, panicked that he had had a stroke and died. Or that his wife had hit him with a paralyzing pygmy dart from sout merica and was going to cover him in Sardine oil to feed to the local fauna or something bizarro like that to get a netflix special.

It was horrifying to watch. Stressed me out pretty badly watching my vet just, petrify like that. I'm lucky I escaped un-scarred. Well, not scarred anymore than I was at the beginning of the thing anyway. Not talking

No worries - we’ll prop you up beside the jukebox if you die. (With respects to the late Joe Diffie RIP)

In fairness, you have to admit that the technical difficulties were worth it for the stories...because that sounds freaking HILARIOUS!LOL

Oh Gawd, that was just the beginning. And about once an hour somebody would do an "AL, did he move?" And off it would go again. That herf was a great time. The hangover and cigar mouth was some what a balancing act.

I don't know how Clint can smoke that much. I smoked 3 cigars during the herf and couldn't stand to look at one the next day. d'oh!

My neighbor was stunned. Not talking

Clint claims dark chocolate between cigars is the secret. Tried it and it doesn't do half bad for taste bud revival.

Been meaning to try this. I’ve done the bite of 70%-80% chocolate while smoking to accentuate the flavors but never in-between cigars.

I favor cinnamon hard candy...one drop refreshes the mouth and preps it for another, if I'm inclined to have another back to back...

doesn't work for a third one back to back...only done that a few times, and the third is always a struggle for me....not worth wasting a good cigar...need at least 1.5 - 2 hours between the second and third

This is why I tend to drink Baileys along with my Lagers. Goes great with certain smokes. Adds creaminess and coats the throat. Other cigars require bourbon and some pain the next day.

I will danged sure take that under advisement! Thanks Stephen! ThumpUp

The bourbon I drank did not help either the cigar mouth, nor the hangover. d'oh!

TOO funny, glad I'm not the only one that remembers that PBS show, LOL. When you have 3 channels and one is the PBS, Zoom and eventually "Are You Being Served?!" was a must.

Hahahahaha! Trying to sort out what the actual hell I texted the frog last night, but otherwise good! Glad we don’t do egg hiding or easter bunny around here anymore so I could get a couple extra hours of snooze, and even more glad that the plague necessitated a YouTube of the sunrise Easter service, suitable for LATER viewing LOL

Poor frog had to be at work at 4am!

Too early for that Rioja, speyside - still working on coffee!
