I thought it was too much molasses or maple, couldn't tell which. Thought same thing about the CBS too but hoping the year has done something for that.

3358 - Troegs Impending Descent

Edit: About halfway through the bottle and I can't figure out why they bottled this beer. Drank one last winter and thought it was a huge disappointment for a $12 12.7 oz bottle. Nothing has changed, it pours so promising with the thickness and color but taste is one dimensional (oak barrel) and not even good at that.

Thanks Kipp, very good beer!!! Think you gave me a 16 last year as well, didn't notice it was a different style beer until I poured it and saw it was black in color.

I know, right?

Good beer. I like it. Just drink so few beers now that I generally go for a big malty type. But I saw this 500ml the other day and figured it would be a good day time beer for watching football.

3365 - Curmudgeon’s Better Half, I do like this offering and it should age nicely. Would expect the front end sweetness to diminish with a little time on the shelf. One might call this an ale version of the CBS IMO.
