The CAO Brazilia has got to be one of the most outstanding cigars ever. It is so consistent with great flavor, draw and construction every time. It's also a unique cigar with the Brazilian wrapper and cool looking band.

On top of all that it's priced way cheaper than alot of cigars that are half as good.

I remember when this came out.

It was forgetful then. I cannot imagine Time helping it become better in any way, shape or form.

CAO...kings of marketing...paupers of production. I really love how the Pied Piper act still snares em.

Lmao, haven’t tried one, and probably won’t. I am taking a closer look at Oliva’s other Maduros. I just think CAO is over hyped. I say that because a guy in a cigar shop tried his hardest to sell me some of these, but when you have your heart set on a certain cigar, namely a Darker cigar by Oliva, a CAO doesn’t quite fit the bill. lol

David here. Taste is a very subjective thing. Some think live monkey brains are the greatest delicacy in the world. Personally, I do not care for the CAO Brazilian. If you enjoy it, great. Others deserve the right to disagree with you.

In the depths of distaste
A twisted soul emerged
With his palate defaced
He lit up a scourge,
CAO Brazilia; such a smell
That all passerby truly fell
And cursed the day that smoke was made
For its scent started a terrible tirade.

The CAO Amazon Basin Cigars are excellent.
Three offerings . . .
The LE Toro ( Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper)
The Fuma Em Corda ( Honduran wrapper )
The Anaconda ( Brazilian Habano wrapper )

A bit pricey, but you can find them "on sale" if you look.
Retail around $10/cigar

many years ago a guy from another Forum bombed me with some CAO cigars..........and they were great.
So I buy ( from a competitor) what he gifted me......................not so great.
I ask him do I need to let these sit for longer..........and that's when I found out the ones he sent were "old" CAO cigars......pre ST acquisition............he also told me he wasn't impressed by the "new" CAO.
Neither am I...............that said...........I've heard/read mixed reviews on the new Brazilia.........enough people are saying they're good.......I may have to revisit.

A recent favorite cigar of mine is made with a maduro Brazilian Arapiraca wrapper leaf. I'm curious about the CAO Brazilian and I'll have to check with a bro who was talking about getting some before I buy any.

Cool looking band....

Had a few from samplers a long time ago. High hopes but not impressed.

At leas they seem to have dropped the GOL! from the name :)

I haven't had one in quite a while, but I do remember that it was one of the CAO's that I enjoyed. Nice, cheap cigar.

Try it out, I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

I'm not sure why the folks here are dogging the Brazilia so much when on CI literally EVERY review was a 90+. Think Think Think Think

Oliva is decent but doesn't have near the power of a Brazilia. Oliva is like a polished turd, taking mild fillers and putting a dark wrapper on it. The Brazilia is pure power

The old CAO Brazilia Gol! and Partakes Black label are the two cigars that drew me back into cigars after a hiatus. So I have a soft spot for them both, but the Partakes has remained more consistent than CAO. The old stuff was outstanding.

Mild? Try a Olivia V and get back to us.

The old CAO Brazilia (prior to being sold) was one of my favorite NC cigars especiallly for the golf course. Have not had one for some years.

Ya, I remember them back in the day, I liked them.

MB3 became my goto golfing smoke a while back though. They rarely fall apart on me, and you know how it is, throwing them all over the place.

Speaking of golf...

I think Ford over Chevy is a lot closer than CAO over Oliva. That is a joke.

Enjoy the CAO Brazilia. Decent budget smoke, but far from "The King of all cigars".
Have also enjoyed the MX2.
The Tins are cheap, short smokes.

Don't care for Oliva at all (except for the Cain Maduro).

True... I suppose... I preferred my Charger muscle car over the GT or the SS because it's faster and it has a way bigger back seat and trunk to jam kids and golf clubs into respectively.

I liked CAO when I was a noob. A couple years ago I won some CAO samplers for cheap, and found the entire line to be blah (including the Brazilian). I wrote them off with the exception of the LX2 until John sent me a couple Amazon Basins. Dang! Those where some freak'n amazing cigars.

CAO is a yard gar. No less no more. If you like it so much the better for you. Olivas don't do much for me, but I can certainly tell how well they are made and how consistent they are. Try a Kristoff ligero to Maduro. That's a quality maduro that packs a punch.

The CAO Brazilia is a yard cigar if you are some rich-ass elitist yuppie. For me ( and many others) a yard cigar is something like Dark Shark or La Finca mixed fillers

Ugh...Dark Shark...that brings back bad memories. Worst cigar that ever touched my lips. Tasted like rolled up toilet paper rolls.

Looks like I'm in the minority here, Oliva is one of my fav manufacturers.

But I think we all agree on one thing, the Brazillia is a yard gar.

I have a soft spot for Oliva...but it is a small spot. Was a time many years ago when Serie V was my 'go to'. And one of my prized unicorns is a full box of 2008 (inaugural year) V-Maduros. That first year V Maddie was the best cigar they ever produced. Subsequent years with SA wrapper didn't come close. The MBI and MBII were great, as well. I still enjoy their connies every now and again, but I've tired of the V's; the G's and O's never did anything for me and I always felt I could get much cheaper cigars than the Melanio if I want a boring smoke.

For me it's basically the MB3, Vs and Melanios. The Melanios are one of my fav cigars of all time, I think it's the Ecuador Sumatra wrapper.

I don't know all cigars that use a similar wrapper, but DC Maximus (a little darker I know) and LFD Ligero come to mind, both of which I love.

rolling lawn clippings in autumn leaves and calling them "cigars" would be a significant upgrade on Dark Sharks ... easily the worst cigar of all time

+1 on the Kristoff Ligero. One really great cigar. I haven't had any in some time, but after your post, I'll have to pull a few well aged ones out of the coolers.

The 1st one released, the LE, is hard to find, but the other two are readily available if you look around a little.
I've seen the Funa em Corda for $120 a few times.

Oliva is one of my favorites as well. I like the V, MB3, Cain F and Cain Maduro lines.

The Brazilia is just ok to me. I have had three or four of them... have had a 5 pack in the humidor for about 8 months. Not in a hurry to get to them...

UPDATE :

The King may have a challenger. Right now I'm smoking a Partagas Black Label, never had one before. Its a pretty luscious smoke.

I think its similar to the CAO Brazilia. Tough to guage which one is better.
