it's happening everywhere...new federal regs for tobacco products, to ensure that kids aren't getting them...I have never seen a minor smoking a cigar...

OTOH, it could be a CA/state reg?

I've ordered stuff from three different places in three different states this year...every delivery required a signature...you may have to request pick up at the USPS office and grab your packages on Sat...good thing my wife and I are retired and babysitting...always one of us at home...helps to get to know your mailman...

It sucks but there are easy ways to get around it. You'll need to sign up on UPS then likely pay a fee to upgrade it to be a full UPS shipping product (cbid shipping hands off to USPS for delivery by default). After that, you can change your destination to deliver to your local UPS store.

.
Rent a mailbox at The UPS Store.

They give you a real street address, not a PO box address, and there are always workers present who receive packages and will sign for them.

Result -- they accept ALL deliveries at ALL times. Doesn't matter which carrier, doesn't matter if the sender/vendor says "no PO box addresses", doesn't matter if a signature is required. They accept ALL of them. Then you just pick it up at your leisure.

Completely solves all these problems.

All my cigar and accessory shipments are sent to me this way, and have been for a long time. Never had a problem, and the simplicity and ease of it is just awesome.

Make sure your local UPS Store will do this. Mine won't. I had to start having my stogies delivered to my shop at work.

Her new jersey. Sheesh, my mother who was born in the 1920s told me that one, when I was just a young lad.
