I was expressing my feeling that we as Americans have little or no voice in our country - no regards to WB.

Little or no voice? So voting means nothing???

Because your lefties can’t win cause Trump is leading America in the right direction?

Maybe you hate him but he is OUR POTUS!!! Y’all need to stop trying to rip our country apart
And be supportive of AMERICA!

Often the most patriotic voice is one of dissent. And giving it a fair listen is the American way.

I do not hate our POTUS. I abhor his attitudes and some of his actions. But my deepest disappointment is when his supporters won’t admit that he has flaws.

BTW, the “look over there” and “What about Hillary” is really getting old....

There is the sabotage.

It shouldn’t be about ANYBODY. The devilcrats tried for months and years to bring our great country to it’s knees
For what? Political gain? They have tried to torpedo Trump and the Republicans and all it’s done is rip the nation even further apart !

We need to concentrate on what we can do to HELP each other. He was found NOT GUILTY. They are still wasting time on this nonsense!

ENOUGH ALREADY!

GOD BLESS AMERICA

I did a few months back. He was the leader of the National Socialist Party. Lol They we're more "right leaning" socialists, but socialists nonetheless. So I'm sure he was a Libertarian...

You need a history lesson. Just because Socialist is in the title of the party doesn't mean that it was a socialist party. Read up on it here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Party

Pay close attention to the second paragraph on down on the above linked page. They were a German Nationalist, raciest, totalitarian regime.

Anyway, Trump will win. I'll be forced to go and hold my nose and vote for anyone but a republican in all races as I feel that the current republicans (specifically, Mitch & Trump) have destroyed the party of Reagan that I joined back in '83. fog

Al, a few weeks sgo, Trump held a rally in socialist NJ. It was reported that 25% of the crowd where registered Democrats. Surprisingly they where there to cheer the President, not to heckle him. Interesting.

Remember Delta, the poll isn't who you want to win, it's who you think will win.

You may have gotten different numbers if you asked who people would vote for or something like that.

It seems like a safe bet that twitler will win the presidential election in 2020.
He'll have about 43% of the popular vote, but will get the electoral college.

He'll claim it's the most decisive victory ever, with the most electoral votes that have ever been voted.

His supporters will believe him.

Things will continue in the direction they have been going.

Perhaps it is representative number of the narrow percentage of intellectuals on the forum....

I may be wrong, but I think the actual numbers may surprise you. Recent Gallup Poll had well over 70% of American voters stating that they where satisfied financially, where doing better then 4 years ago, and expected to be doing even better next year. Many may not come out and publicly admit they support Trump, or approve of his performance, but in the privacy of the voting both, a large number will be voting their wallet. Not to mention his 28% approval rating among non-whites, a modern day record for a Republican president.

You wouldn't happen to have a link?
I tried finding it and found some positive polls, but not necessarily those specific numbers.

edit...
That being said, I don't think the above numbers will actually translate into any difference in votes.

People may do it, but voting for someone just because your finances are better under them is.... bribery.

If some politician said they were going to make sure you earn more money next year, but they're also going to do something bad to someone else... would you still vote for them?

Victor, I was posting from memory and screwed the pooch. According to a Gallup Poll taken in early January 2020, 59% of Americans say they are doing better financially then a year ago. 20% say they are doing worse. But the big take away is that 76% expect to be doing even better in a year, which shows great confidence in the economy. These kind of numbers can only help Trump, but all predictions are only speculation. Nothing is sure until the polls close on 11/3.

Ah, that's closer to the numbers I saw.

Yeah, an interesting poll. Brings up everyone's favorite quote... "it's the economy, stupid".

But don't forget the other part of my post. Choosing to vote strictly on doing better economically, when the same leadership may be doing something bad to someone else... is maybe not the best choice.

But, we're not talking about the best choice. We're talking about the choice people will make.

Dave, polls are just that, polls. Remember, in 2016 the polls showed Hillary in a landslide victory. Not so much. I do think Trump will win. Though there is one scenario that I think would make it a close race. Bloomberg getting the Democratic nomination. While I think this is unlikely to happen, it is possible. Even if he doesn't win the nomination, maybe his run will have done some good. Hopefully it causes more moderate Democrats to run in 2024.

Boogerberg is definitely buying the primary. Gonna cost him more to pay off Bernie than it cost Hillary but it's in the bag.
Question is will shortstuff have a lift tonight?

Be careful that those Jersey commies don't burn your house down. My sister lives in Pine Hill, and she would love to have a Trump bumper sticker and lawn sign, but she is concerned about her home being vandalized and her cars keyed.

Here's the thing that Bloomberg supporters don't seem to realize. Even though Bloomberg's ads disparages Trump and all he has done, policy wise (except for guns) Bloomberg is basically a Trump clone. If he supported the 2nd Ammendment, and got over his Napoleon Complex, I could actually see myself supporting him in the future.

.... and why would she be so afraid?

Hell, if anyone came up to me and told me "my child is afraid that X will hurt them!" my first question would be why did you instill that fear in your child?

This goes for anyone of any political bent. Dems afraid they're going to get shot by trumpers at a rally.... trumpers afraid they're going to be blown up by muslims... whatever.

Someone instilled that fear in them. And there is zero reason for it.
