That's a Trump tactic.

yup, a Trump tactic...

before Trump we had one honest politician after another serving in federal, state, and local governments...

and then Trump came and sullied the good name of politics by introducing dishonesty...

a once-noble profession single-handedly dragged into the gutter of mistruth by a reality TV star...

You're too young to remember, but before Trump existed, politics was still a game of honest gentlemen... like Barack Obama and Bill Clinton...

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand the concept of voting for your own interests. That makes complete sense when you have a choice between two functioning adults. But the last time we had that choice was 2012.

Both adults in the election this cycle and last are fully functioning... literally as functional as any president who's ever served... More so than the cripple... who was that, theo roosevelt?

Anyway, function isn't the issue... and calling someone an idiot when they've accomplished far more in their lifetime than you could in 10 of yours smacks of jealousy, not fact...

You're kidding me, right?

Do you actually think trump has accomplished anything due to "intelligence"? Do you directly equate intelligence with accomplishment?... do you think the kardashians are intelligent?

Are you trying to tell me that you're not as smart as trump? Because I can definitely rank the two of us without any issue.

Not sure that you really care, but many people who "support" Trump know he's an idiot... potus isn't really supposed to be a popularity contest... people vote for policy, not the person...

In terms of the military, Trump/Republicans have typically let the military do what they want, at least more than the dems... and the Republicans typically shell out more money for the military budget...

To me, it would be weird for someone who is in the military, works in the military, gets paid by the military - it would be weird to see them support a president who plans on providing less money for the military...

Contrary to your theory, it was Ron Paul running in the Republican primary both in 2008 and especially in 2012 that received the most in campaign contributions from active military than any other candidates by far in either party. Running on an anti-war non-interventionist foreign policy, bringing the troops home and cutting spending is more popular than you think among those who see things from the inside when given an honest choice. It was at least fun to see the neocons and other hawkish progressives pull their hair out in disbelief.

You'd have to provide a direct quote... I'm not seeing it... and i certainly don't believe it... i think a man's intellect can be measured with what he's been able to do with what he's been given...

In Trump's case, he was given a lot of money... he leveraged it into achieving what some may view as the highest office in the land...

I don't know what Victor was given, but he's leveraged it into a shack in Missouri and a neighbor named Leroy with whom he occasionally shares his bathtub hooch...

if not for that part about first being given a lot of money...

there's also a documented history and very possibly worse stuff on the (legal) horizon that might make you change leveraged into cheated.
Wouldn't that effect intelligence ranking?

leveraging an inherited fortune into vast power takes more ambition than intelligence. Lots of contacts and support are in place at birth...Kennedy anyone?

No, because it takes two seconds to think through the statement and realize it's not a measure of intelligence.

For you... because you want it to relate to how long you sat in a school... and Leroy wants it to relate to how many times he's made out with his cousin... and i disagree with both of you...

four bankruptcies, which absolved him from paying contractors for the work they did for him, and failed money-making schemes called Trump University and the Trump Foundation, both shut down by civil courts, seem more fraudulent and criminal than intelligent...

destructive regulatory decisions that our children will pay for, abuse of power, criminal behavior in office and contempt for the Constitution should not be an acceptable trade for a few beneficial policy decisions...
