Is there anyone who believes her story about Trump lunging, grabbing the steering wheel and choking out a SS agent?

Anyone?

Now Liz Cheney "welcomes" the agents to testify under oath? Really?
AFTER we heard biased hearsay the committee would "welcome" this? Why not take that path to begin with?

This is the pure definition of a kangaroo court. The committee has a preconceived ruling and is trying to find a route that leads them to it.

I know, I know: orange man bad.

But holy chit. It would take a complete moron to suspend reality long enough to think this in ANY way is presenting facts.

And the media?
They ran with the hearsay on every outlet.
The same media who not too long ago refused to mention the words "laptop" and "hunter" in the same sentence because the story was not yet corroborated.

Yet millions of leftists and dozens of others sit entranced by this spectacle that Pelosi's congress is prancing in front of us.

Back to the main point.
Trump. Lunging? From the back seat of a partitioned limo to the front seat? And grabbing the wheel? Or grabbing the throat of a trained officer?
All said with a straight face.

Rachel madcow would be proud.

I dunno, Joe. I saw her, and it seems to me those locked onto the steering wheel grab story are the ones running with it as though it was the point of her testimony under oath.
She clearly differentiated between what others told her and what she saw and heard in person.
And under threat of perjury, she testified that she saw and heard a lot of stuff for Americans to ponder.

As have many other Trump appointees and current supporters.

The important points being sifted through are not little isolated tantrums...con news services are burying the story if what I read hear daily is accurate.
Lib news services are apparently glorifying selected items, if what I read hear is accurate.

I just kinda been trying to catch what I can live or replayed and use my ability to filter out opinions from printed coverage etc.

You're kidding, right?

The points I mention are the same points being played over and again by the media.

I'm not saying she shouldn't have testified. I'm saying her testimony is flawed. To the point where it shouldn't be considered accurate and the media should ignore it.

And further.
For Liz Cheney to say the agents are "welcomed to testify" shows you what's at play.

This is a hand-picked collection of Trump haters cooking the books to make him look worse than he was.

Hutchinson's testimony was understood before she was sworn in. In a real court, a lawyer would have listened to the hearsay and then taken the next step to question the agents. Instead, the clowns just shrug and say fine. Go ahead and testify.
Because you can't un-hear what was said.

You should be embarrassed to think this is even a tiny fraction more factual than any network reality show.

ScreeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEECH...

back up...

Are you telling me that Trumpers do NOT like what she said on the stand?

lmfao, are you f*cking serious?

HOW!!!

Think about this for a minute...

Trump got criticized for what... not being at the capitol with his angry mob...

And we find out why!!!

He went kicking and crying and grabbing steering wheels, doing everything in his powa to get to the capitol... but was held prisoner by the state he was supposed to be the leader of.

...

And you guys are saying she is lying?

WTF, just more evidence of the bizarro world

Who wants to believe me? So you admit they have TDS?

So what are you guys mad about? Because Trump didn't fight hard enough to get himself to the capitol?

You're right, he should have been there.

I mean, he said he was going to be there... and he just didn't fight hard enough for you... he didn't fight as hard as you needed him to... he didn't fight as hard as he demanded that you fight for him... he said you guys were going to fight together...

And that didn't happen, you guys had to go at it alone.

And what happens when you get tried in court?

That big orange bassturd throws you under the bus.

Shame.

he didn't get to the Capitol because his supporters simply would not allow him to do more things that they advised were clearly illegal. Regardless if he grabbed a steering wheel or a ***** or not...
that's the sensationalizing crap, but there's tons of germane testimony if only you guys weren't so afraid to find out what he did...aLleGedLy

They are the supporters I speak of, and even some of the state election officials who had the noose tighten under pressure said they'd vote for him again but didn't want to assist in what would have been criminal...

These folks tried to protect him from himself.

They took oaths that wouldn't allow them to go against their consciences to do wrong just to "win", something The Donald was trained to believe makes them suckers.

Oh, and Pence deserved it. Why do you think they built da gallows?

Goggle "trump lunges for steering wheel"

Here's what you'll get for "news"

http://tinyurl.com/5n8u5ca4

So "those that locked onto the steering wheel grab story and running with it" is all of your mainstream media feeding the masses.

Top five from the goggle search and their click bait headline:
CNN - "Aide testifies she was told Trump lunged at Secret Service and steering wheel when told he couldn't go to Capitol."
The Hill - "Trump lunged at security detail, steering wheel to get to Capitol on Jan. 6, aide says."
NPR - "Former President Donald Trump lunged at his driver on Jan. 6."
Washington Post - "Trump wanted armed mob to march to Capitol, sought to join, aide says""
Shaw Local (whatever that is) - "Trump lunged for steering wheel, demanded to go to Capitol on Jan. 6: former aide testifies."

No need to filter out opinions from printed coverage etc. Your media is doing that for you. They are not printing or publishing unbiased news and facts for you to make your own decision on the story, they are feeding you what they want you to hear, see, and read.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda
"Propaganda is communication that is primarily used to influence or persuade an audience to further an agenda, which may not be objective and may be selectively presenting facts to encourage a particular synthesis or perception, or using loaded language to produce an emotional rather than a rational response to the information that is being presented."

I'm not a Trumpser, although many of you may have already shoved me into that mold, but it is clear that our mainstream media is extremely biased in what they chose to report and how they report it.

What would you call them... codependents?

This story helps Trump no?

He tried so hard he actually grabbed the wheel. That's something to be proud of right there... shows he really wanted to be there for YOU.

The one good thing the media says about him, and you guys say they are LIES!!!

invoking the 5th amendment is no admission of guilt, especially when in front of a show trial kangaroo court that only has one and only one objective, which is to convict you of some imaginary crime.

I have probably taken and defended over 1,000 depositions and witness interviews.

She was coached and/or is very smart (and could have even been to law school). But, the coaching she demonstrated was HOW to answer questions, not the substance of what she testified to. There is a big difference that any experienced lawyer can tell.

Everyone needs to quit complaining about hearsay. It is not inadmissible. It even has 23+ exceptions and a bunch of work-arounds, which makes it even more credible under certain circumstances. Get used to it, but you can give it whatever weight you want.

I thought she did a nice job stylistically and tend to believe her on some things. New evidence and testimony will tell for sure.

Seems like Trump loses control of himself and that embarrassment is the real problem being complained of in different words. And, there is no contradictory evidence as of yet. Now, it even looks like some people from the Secret Service want to testify. This is going to get very interesting, especially if they support what she says.

At this point, do you really want him near the nuclear "football" again, given what was testified to could very well be true?

You know when I knew she was telling the truth...

When she was describing cleaning the ketchup off the wall, then was asked if there were other incidents...

And the look of recall on her face as she described how sh*t would go every where...

Ya... that sh*t was real. That was the face of the chick who had to clean that sh*t up.

I can see why my post you responded to may not have been clear...
In my mind I was saying that posters HERE (I spelled it "hear", sorry) were lingering on that one part of her testimony relating to her being told by other(s) about the alleged lunge, I was not thinking about mainstream/lib nor conservative media. Very little argument that both are likely saying what one would expect.

My main point should have been that the lunge thing was of very little importance in light of testimony relating to what may be attempts to over turn an election after being told the conspiracy-theories-without-evidence were false and may violate laws...

Several testifiers have indicated that they knew it was made clear and tried to stop Trump, Rudy, Eastman et al as a greater good than being part of it even though they were supporters of the former POTUS...country and Constitution over party/Trump.

I'm kind of avoiding any big dialog with folks who have not watched and are parroting right wing media. Ironic in that they are charging me with being told what I should have for an opinion!

Other readings or coverage I've seen/heard are the opinions of others, I may or may not end up siding with those opinions, but it's a waste of time endlessly discussing this with folks who decided not to watch but speak with authority.

It may happen eventually, but not anytime soon.

Your side needs to do a better job on getting the word out on just how horrible this country really is.

Just think how many illegals that have made the trek north for nothing. If they were better informed, they could have selected a much better destination.

We may never know what that better destination is until all of you that are trying to destroy this country go in search of it.

And if you ever find that better destination, stay there.

Text Messages Reveal What Cassidy Hutchinson Really Thought Of The January 6th Committee: Report

By Virginia Kruta, Jul 3, 2022, DailyWire.com

Last-minute star witness Cassidy Hutchinson apparently did not think much of the January 6th committee when she was first called to testify, text messages reportedly revealed.

According to a report published Sunday by The Daily Caller — based on text messages sent by Hutchinson — the former aide to then White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows referred to the committee’s subpoena as “BS” and made it clear that she was unimpressed with the fact that U.S. Marshals had come to her apartment to deliver it.

In the text messages, which were obtained by the Caller’s senior Congressional correspondent Henry Rodgers, Hutchinson appeared to be seeking assistance from the First Amendment Fund — which was started by the American Conservative Union (ACU) in order to assist private citizens “who have not been accused of any crimes and were simply engaging in free speech activities” with regard to January 6th.

“Hey (redacted)! This is Cassidy Hutchinson. Kind of a random question, but do you still work for the Schlapps at the ACU?” Hutchinson texted, to which the person replied, “Hi, yes!”

“Do you happen to know a First Amendment fund POC I could reach out to? I was subpoenaed in early Nov., but the committee waited to serve me until last week (after Ben’s deposition),” Hutchinson continued, adding, “I had to accept service because the U.S. Marshalls came to my apartment last Wednesday, but I haven’t made contact with the Committee. I’m just on a tight timeline and just trying to figure out what my options are to deal with this bs.”

Later in the conversation, Hutchinson reportedly said that she did not want the January 6th hearings to be “unnecessarily elevated.”

But then Hutchinson testified in the produced and televised hearings — during which she alleged that former President Donald Trump had been so adamant that he follow his supporters to the Capitol that he had tried to take the wheel of the vehicle he was in and had physically assaulted a Secret Service agent who prevented him from doing so.

Several sources have since denied her claims, and ACU President Matt Schlapp responded to her testimony by saying he was glad the First Amendment Fund had not assisted her.

“Ms. Hutchinson approached CPAC for help through our First Amendment Fund which has helped J6 political victims defend themselves. I am pleased we did not assist her performance today. Relaying WH hallway gossip as fact does not qualify as first person testimony,” he tweeted.

GOP knows of Trump’s bad behavior, yet they support him

Miami Herald

Dear Republicans:

That’s what a free woman looks like.
Meaning, of course, Cassidy Hutchinson, a young former aide in Donald Trump’s White House, who appeared before the House committee investigating the attempted coup of Jan. 6. Free of the need to defend the indefensible or rationalize the irrational — free, in other words, of Trump — she simply told what she saw and heard before and as rioters stormed the seat of the U.S. government. Hutchinson was a poised and effective witness, and her testimony painted damning, indelible images.

Like the ketchup dripping down the wall of the Oval Office dining room, the porcelain plate lying in shards on the floor, in the aftermath of a presidential temper tantrum.

Like Trump angrily demanding removal of the “effing” magnetometers set up to keep people with weapons from entering his pre-riot rally on the Ellipse. (“I don’t care that they have weapons. They’re not here to hurt me.”)

Like Trump physically assailing the head of his Secret Service detail — there are reports that the agent disputes this — when they refused to ferry him to the chaos at the Capitol.

Like Hutchinson’s boss, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, passively scrolling through his cellphone as Hutchinson and others brought increasingly urgent bulletins of barricades breached and windows smashed.

Does it even need to be said that Donald Trump issued statements on that jackleg social media site of his claiming none of it happened, saying that he hardly knows who Hutchinson is, dubbing her a “whacko?”

Unfortunately for Trump, she didn’t seem the least bit “whacko.” She just seemed free.

Republicans, wouldn’t you like to be free? How many years has it been since each of you was your own man or woman, unfettered by the burden of lies, alibis and pretending not to see?

This is, of course, an apropos time to talk about freedom. Between cookouts and fireworks displays, we are celebrating our Founders, who declared themselves free of Britain 246 years ago. Which is not to suggest the men who signed our Declaration of Independence were perfect. Far from it. Most, after all, were traders in human flesh. But give them this much: They had the courage of their convictions. They had the courage to be free, though they knew the cost might be ruinous.

As Hutchinson’s testimony made vividly, if redundantly, clear, you are led by a monstrous, unstable child. How can you have greater loyalty to him than to your country? Or to yourselves? In signing that revolutionary document, those men declared themselves independent — free — from the tyranny of a selfish and oppressive king.

Why won’t you do the same?
