Just finished working at 9:45pm and I’ve been working since 7am. If any of your children/grandkids want to go to grad school, tell them to tech school instead.

Snowing with Wind Gusts. The same weather stopped our Costco trip last weekend.

Today, we need to make it happen.

Yucky gray day in north central MA. High 30's with drizzling rain. Forecast says it'll get to the lower 60's by early evening but still rainy with a possible thunderstorm.

My personal forecast predicts a nap along the way and make some chicken parm for eating tonight. Vherf folks last night suggested chicken madeira but I ain't gots the ingredients for it and I don't feel like going out shopping.

39/48 rain off and on then the storm that went across the country is supposed to hit, tho yesterdays predictions of a possible tornado here seemed to have faded away along with the prediction of sunny and warmer temps..

I've missed you guys...been busy with life's lemons...no April Fools' joke...been consumed helping my sister deal with her health issues...

She can no longer get out of bed and can only move around while seated in a transport chair...she requires medical transport for her frequent trips to and from the hospital...when awake, her mental state fluctuates between lethargic and uncommunicative to mostly alert and talkative...

We finally got the answer to why her physical and mental condition has deteriorated so rapidly over the past two years. She has a cancerous brain tumor, in a bad location in the right side of her thalamus. The oncologist thinks that it is the least aggressive form of cancer, but is awaiting a molecular analysis to verify....she will have a consult with a team of Kaiser's neuro surgical and radiation oncologists in two weeks to determine which course of treatment would be best given the results of the molecular test.

We are fortunate that Lori's caregivers at her residential care facility and at the hospital and satellite locations are good people, friendly, helpful, supportive and competent.

She/we have a difficult journey ahead...

Hi Al, Coincidentally, I was thinking about PMing you this morning to see where you have been. Glad you are "OK". I am also sorry for your sister's condition and the "burden" it causes you. Be well, my friend.

(BTW, my wife has managed up to four skilled care facilities (like 500-600 beds). She will help you with Medicare, asset protection advice and such- just LMK if you want her help.)

Next time take Grandpa Bob with youse. When the kids ask if they can buy sumting, tell 'em, "No, it's too expen$ive!" Then have them look at Grandpa and say, "Grandpa, can you buy this for us?" Unless Bob is a good fo' nuthin' grandparent (...which I know he ain't...), he'll say, "Okay, put your stuff in my wagon."

There ya go! Herfing

Daughter graduated from FAU. Son is presently at Miami. Both lost last night. Bummer.

Woke up after 11am. Want to got to swim laps today, then watch XFL game this afternoon.

Weather is hot, humid and overcast. 90F today, supposedly, but it looks like un-forecasted rain soon.

Wife is finishing up her cooking for Passover.

Special needs niece will not come to Passover Seder here without her mother, who will be out of town, her sister and my two kids being here too. Ironically, her mother is the only one of the four who even wants be around her, although we all go out of our way to engage and include her.

Sad, reality in her mind is that we hate her- based upon her father convincing her that this is one reason to move to Cleveland to live with him. Although she is 20, court order declares her incompetent and my sister her sole Guardian. She is incapable of making a good decision whether to do that- and it is far from her best interest.

Oh, well. Life goes on.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Warm weather is coming. Although officially we are in spring, the temps are not there yet. Should probably start some seeds inside for the container garden. Beans, peppers (hot and sweet) and tomatoes for sure. Would like to do some strawberries but past experience the birds and squirrels end up robbing them before they are ready to pick.

4 Fifty.

I hired a handyman and gave him a list. When I got home, only items 1, 3, & 5 were done.

Turns out he only does odd jobs.
