Good Morning.

Gonna be 88F with lower humidity today. We are running the A/C in March! WTF?

Started some house cleaning, going to swim and grocery. Then, I'll clean up the office/library some more and organize folders for my 2003 taxes so that I don't have to sort receipt for 2 hours like I did for 2022.

Home pool is still way to cold and it is too warm outside already for a nice soak in the hot tub.

Rest of plan for today fell apart so I will just have to lay about and maybe smoke a cigar if someone wants to get on the vherf with me.

The price is high, it does include a replacement skylight, material proces are high now and it will require a lot of labor to collect the old roofing materials from the back of the house, all by hand.

Interesting day.

Gave a ride to a young, afghani MMA fighter. He's in the second division- don't remember the name of it. He's 3-0 and showed my a Youtube fight of him cleaning some guys clock in 15 seconds.

Later, picked up a truck driver in a dodgy area of town. Did pretty good with trucker terminology.
Lot Lizard: Hooker.
Alligator Skins: Retreads torn off of tires laying on the side of the road.

New ones I learned...
Coffin Sleeper: A small-size sleeper.
Zipper: The broken lines (passing lines) in the highway.
Braille: The noisy rumble strips which wake drivers up before they leave the road.
Braille Lines: The painted lines which get crossed before the Braille.

Liked it.

Checking in. A nice 50 going to 80 today.

That pompano run thingy sounds good. Used to catch them surf fishing of the beach south of Rocky Point in Mexico and they are some fine eating.

Good Wednesday Morning to All! It's a clear 53° on the way to 66° today. Getting coffee up waiting for the roofing contractor to get here. We, uh, my wife, has to pick the shingle color.

An interesting thing about these shingles, they have copper granules that prevent mold growth. Good for our humid area. I've noticed for years that the zinc from galvanized roof jacks or old school flashing prevent mold growth as the zinc salts leach off the galvanizing.

When was the last time you were in Hawaii? Think

A few years ago I found $88 at a golf course. The bills had a hint of cigar smell.

Ended up using it to help pay for a family sushi dinner a couple days later. 🍣

Been about ten years. Iffn I lost $88 I'd still be there looking for it.

I did find three folded up $20s a few years ago lying in the street on one of my morning walks.

Found a 10 when I was a kid.

Lost $66 on my paper route when I was a teenager.

Found like 120-140 about 10 years ago.

Other than that, I found a bunch of quarters on the sidewalk while walking around the neighborhood like 15 years ago... but whoever put them there glued them to the concrete so you can only bend down, but can't pick them up up. Now it's a neighborhood-wide joke for new neighbors. LOL
