The first vehicle had in my name was a hand-me-down from my older brother. Plymouth Fury III. I don't know the year but that thing was a huge beast. I didn't buy it, he gave it to me when he left for college. I had it for a few years then sold for a couple hundred bucks to a friend our family's kid who just got her license.

The first vehicle that I bought with my own money was a Ford Maverick (again, don't remember the model year) but I bought it sometime in the late 80's or early 90's. I think I paid like $500 for it. Nothing special. Had a straight 6 for an engine that never failed and it never had problems starting and drove fine. I think I had to replace a starter on it once but back then it was not a big or expensive deal. I sold it to the junk yard after a handful of years when the heater core started leaking. Ended up buying a motorcycle motor vehicle transportation for the rest of my college years.

greetings from Cape Cod.
vacation rapidly coming to an end.

couldn't make it work to get together for dinner with tailgater and his fabulous wife, not their fault.
always a nice time with them, really warm people, and Joe is truly quick witted and very funny...much as it grieves me to admit.

Hot night with T storms coming in to crack the heat and humidity we've had the last couple days.
Back to the usual 80 degree highs tomorrow.

Hot n humid.

Went out back to chop up a tree that fell a few weeks ago. Chainsaw blade too dull. Dug up 3 old chains and sharpened them but never went back to finish.

Went back down to my parents house to use their pool again. They said we've been in it more than them.

Tomorrow I'm taking the family to Sunoverbeach town to go mini golfing and then down to the fairgrounds for the county fair. Eat a bunch of fried garbage and watch demolition derby.

Water heater died this morning. Good news, it is still under warranty (by four months).

The choices are …

A: Wait until Monday and pay $400 in labor and taxes.
B: Buy a new one to be installed by another company today, shelling out $1,200.

Ram,
What do you say?

Because of that, and it works out fine (for me). I’ll be up north for a good part of the weekend.

I have a tankless. almost all the houses in this neighborhood have tankless. This time of year, I don't need to wait for the water to warm up.

Tank had a bath in the rain this morning, after our walk. Then I took a shower with the missus... she can get to those hard to reach spots on my back. Anxious

Hanging with the kid down south. Spent the day scraping excess grout from the kitchen counters because his builder is an azzhat apparently. Not exactly how I envisioned vacation going

Trip to Valpo was OK, but didn't get to see demolition derby. I didn't know they sold the tickets online.. the fair in my county opens the ticket booth 2 hours before the shows start. As does the fair over the border in IL. So at 5pm we wandered back to the grandstands to find the ticket booth closed and a sign saying sold out.

We did go mini golfing on our way there, watched 4 free shows, saw the animals, ate an elephant ear and some corn. 100 degree temps were great with that 100% humidity. I dont think I've ever seen wife and boy as sweaty as today. I was sweaty too, but I love the heat. They went into an air conditioned building for 20 minutes, I stood in line outside for more corn.

Postponing our trip to Rockford IL until it cools down cause they were miserable. Instead, gonna go down to the children's museum in Indy but I think ill wait for Monday for less crowds. Then up to Wisconsin on Tuesday, back to work Wednesday.

Temp went from 90 to 66 in minutes and some hail. I love me some mountain thunderstorms. Wife and I crowded into the tank room at a brewery we were visiting with others and waited it out with second rounds for everybody.

Morning folks.
Nice and humid 74° heading to mid 90's with rain today. E'fn Jersey sucks, can't wait for Fall/Winter.

Sitting out for a long overdue morning coffee and a smoke. Grabbed a few of the Rojas Breakfast Tacos recently. Highly, highly recommend. Definitely up there as a favorite small perfecto. Right there with AF SS for me.

Dog walk was late today, and brutal. It was 80 with humidity about 80. Halfway through the walk Tank laid down in wet grass and rolled around. I had to use my shirt to wipe sweat off my face a few times. It's a frickin' sauna up in here.

Edit: One NINER NINER!
