Robert is in town for a couple of days but life circumstances are preventing a first time meeting...he has family/in-law obligations and we are kind of tied up with TLC having surgery tomorrow morning...having her thyroid removed, actually.
She wasn't using it anyway so no great loss.

There’s a joke in there somewhere, but I’ll just wish positive thoughts on the surgery.

Happy Friday dudes. Gearing up for a vacy to Minnesota along the shores of Gichi-gami. Going to miss the excitement of maybe getting some rain out of hurricane Hilary coming up the cost of Baja over the weekend.

Good Friday Morning to All! It's 82° on the way to 92° with a mere 54% humidity! Got a guy trimming along the driveway and waiting for an electrician to install additional plugs in the garage.

Enjoy!

Been eating right and exercising, staying free of booze... might need a few glasses of hooch today. Does whiskey turn to sugar in the blood? Think

Nah... eating less sugar is a good thing. Trying to stay away from high carb snacks, too, like chips and having chicharrones instead.

Not drinking good beer kinda sucks. But the carbs, man... the CARBS!

Started lifting weights again, too. Not crazy... I'm in my 50's. Just trying to get back to the 178-180 range where I feel the best. I don't take medication (aside from nexium) and getting back to where I need to be will help that trend continue.

Alcohol doesn't metabolize into sugar, but it does jack your blood sugar around

Coincidentally, as soon as I can redirect my wife from the shopping district, we're hitting the liquor store so u can jack my blood sugar up

Thanks for the response, Suno... a little late to the party, though. 2 weeks of diet and exercise had me hankerin' for a glass of hooch.

Currently on pour #2 of Elijah Craig. Bartender was not shy with the pours... (spoiler: I'm the bartender).

First day of a 2 weeks off. Gorgeous night here in NJ. Sitting outside enjoying the quiet before the kid has friends over for the night. Then quiet goes away.

It was same day as the question. Purty punctual for my tendencies.

Hitch in the weekend trip. Uncle just passed away after suffering Alzheimer's for several years now. First of my dad's siblings to go. Cousins were clearly planning for it since viewing starts Sun night with services Mon morn.

Now figuring how I'm going from S WI to NW IN to S Chicago suburbs in the next couple days

Love when the bartender pours extra heavy like that. Mine does that too.

Murphy's Law: Smoke detector batteries must die in the middle of the night, when no stores are open that sell 9v batteries.

Not in the middle of the day when people are awake. ram27bat ram27bat

Paid $6.99 for a single 9v battery at the gas station... and of course could not get back to sleep.Brick wall

Good morning! Smoking a Montesino MD and watching RFK/Tucker interview while I wait for the grass to dry, then 4 hours of mowing. Interesting interview so far.

Have you replaced your shocks yet? I'm looking to replace my stock Tacoma shocks with something to smooth out washboard. Have you done any research into this?
