I have taken a break from buying Cuban cigars, damn prices are stupid high. I am currently stocking up on non-Cuban favorites. In the last 3 weeks I have picked up Boxes of:
Ashton VSG Sorcerer
Ashton VSG Belicoso #1
A. Fuentes WOAM
CAO Cameroon Perfecto
And CAO Brazillia Samba.
What have Y'all been pulling the trigger on?

The CAO Cameroon perfectos, were pretty cheap, but after having one, they are a whole lot better than I expected. At the price point, of less than $4 a stick, after shipping and taxes. I will be buying more. Tasty little 30-45 minute smokes.

Real talk, never purchased a box. Always gotten samplers because I am still trying to explore preferences. Also, for some reason, I feel like boxes are always more expensive than a 20 stick sampler. Any reason why?

In short, the box is the difference.

I have heard (not sure if it is true) that the “best” cigars are boxed.
The ones not quite up to snuff, are made into fivers, tenskis, and possibly bundles for lower end stuff.
And of course, you are getting a box, and some are quite nice, others more basic……….but still a box.

My most recent three are
Fuente Mag R R44
RomaCraft CroMagnon Aguitaine Mode 5
Warped Chinchalle

All bought a couple months ago. I haven't smoked any of the Fuentes or Aquitaines yet. Letting them sit while I smoke through other stuff. Gonna start breaking 'em out soon though.

I've purchased 50+ boxes over the past 3 months.

3 boxes of New World
10 boxes of Oliva Melanio figurado
5 boxes of Oliva 135th Anniversary
2 boxes of Montecristo Media Noche No. 2
6 boxes of La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amor belicoso
5 boxes of Le Careme Pastelitos
5 boxes pf Padron 1926
6 boxes of boutique type cigars from DROP, Ezra Zion and others
Single boxes of various other 90+ and 95+ rated cigars, including Padron 1964, Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig and La Flor Dominicana Oro Chisel Tubos to make up the rest.

Toss in all the 20, 10 and 5 pack bundles along with single cigars from CBid and other places, I've spent about $18,000 since June.

Compare that with all of last year, I only spent about $7,500 - and the years prior about $2,500 each year.

Edit: I need to take a photo of everything I have. I highly doubt I'll ever possess this many cigars at one time for the rest of my life.

Holy chit Batman! Gonz

Iffin’ it was me, I’d be so busy inputting info into my spreadsheet I’d have a hard time finding the time to smoke them! Fo’ sure there’ll be some accidental aging…unless, of course, you smoke 10+ cigars a day!

I wish. However, being retired, wherever I go and whatever I'm doing, I'm enjoying a cigar along with it. But that's never more than six cigars per day - most often four cigars per day.

Ha! I've often thought about your spreadsheet technique. I bet my situation would result in quite a headache.

I don't plan on dropping over $20 grand in one year on cigars ever again - unless I hit the lottery.

My most recent box purchase was for some Warped Moon Garden Painted by Moonlight back in May. I also had a l-o-n-g backorder of a box of AF 8-5-8 SGs that I ordered last October but didn't get till late June. Since then I've limited myself to only 5-packs (...sometimes multiple...).

Just got 2 boxes from the same company, different types of smokes, but both good value. If you’re unfamiliar with DBL, I highly suggest them.

DBL - 2nd Generation
DBL - Amarillo Fancy Belicoso

I just got a handful of fivers from the page place and they seem to have upped their game.

There is a Boveda (the little ones) in each individual zip lock and there was a cool 4-pack of promo coasters in the box, too.

Well done.

Also haven't received them yet.

2 boxes - Plasencia Alma Fuerte Generacion V Salomon
1 box - Plasencia Reserva Original Corona

Hiland’s Cigars 40% off sales on Plasencia cigars is going to get me in trouble.

We are all guilty of it at some point, but FYI naming a direct competitor of CBid is verbotten.

Great, now I am guilty for quoting you!

I have driven by Hiland a few times, you local to AZ?

Haven't had aging room in a long time, I try to avoid giving money to STG/General/Altadis. But I used to buy a few of their lines and enjoy them back in my shpo days.

I absolutely LOVE corojo wrappers tho. I don't know how anyone couldn't.

I’m with you there. Hate spending money with the conglomerates. Used to smoke plenty of Camacho Corojo Churchill’s until Eiroa left. Then I quit buying them.
