Forget waiting around for Thanksgiving. What are you thankful for now?

We all get caught up in the chit. I'm likely not alone in not appreciating how good things are.

Media seeks to divide and fuel those divisions. We are so lucky for the people, relationships and other things we take for granted each day.

What are you thankful for now? Other than thankful I'm not making this message longer.

So many things it's hard to list. From family to the people I know, to the country we are privliaged to live in, and the freedom we still have.

Jeez, you are the sole commonality and, perhaps, you arre even the likely causal factor. Please remind not to be your friend (to avoid my needing surgery too). LOL.

Hope all your friends are doing well.

Think

Will put you on the Honorary Enemy List (with no actual malice).

The surgery took longer than expected, but deemed successful. Six incisions, drilling holes into his prostate, and shaved out massive amounts of scar tissue. Expected to make a fully recovery.

Pending lab results is the only potential pitfall remaining. He was still a little loopy when I was there.

Thankful.

Early enough that I was able to defeat the spread and stop it with radiation treatments. Was going for a shot every 3 to 6 months. Now taking my daily pill.

Doctor once told me if you're going to get cancer, prostate cancer is preferable as it has a good rate of success in defeating it. Was also told you're more likely to die with it than from it.

My father had it. Was able to defeat it with the radioactive seeding.

I think I would prefer not to get it, though... Mellow

Although it isn’t flashy, there will be no sun the today and tomorrow. Rain and wind from now through noon tomorrow. Then the forecasts another 24 hours plus of clouds.

We’ve been short on rain most of the summer. Haven’t had to cut the lawn since August.

I am thankful for the rain.
And sheepishly admit being at least partially thankful I haven’t had to cut the lawn since August.

thankful that my wrist and thumb responded so well to a cortisone shot to convince my Orthopedic surgeon to cancel the surgery a couple days ago...if it stays like this, I'll be able to host Thanksgiving dinner, as usual...

thankful for this time of year and the special days that bring our families together; Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas (sister's and granddaughter's birthday celebrations mixed in) and New Years (wife's birthday celebration)

Thankful for everything that my Higher Power gives me. It may sound kinda corny but it's the truth. I've knocked on the door of death a couple of times, thankfully it wasn't my time

I'm thankful that I wake up alive every morning. If I don't wake up alive then I can't give back what was freely given to me.

I'm thankful that my family, friends and those who I love are are happy healthy and safe. I hope that those friends that I have not met yet are happy, healthy and safe.

I'm thankful that my higher power put people in my life (human angels that walk the Earth - they are real) to help me and guide me through some difficult times.

I'm thankful that I can help others when I can and have the ability to do so.

My prostate surgery friend went to his follow up appointment today.
They removed the pizz bag (unsure if they waited for the shake) and has full bladder control.

A prayer answered.

Thankful for a Tank sighting.

Also, my friend who had the dual, quad reattachment surgery is being released from the hospital and to the nicest rehab facility in the area.

Later today, cigars with my caramel colored brother from another mother.
