LOL @ Rookie ... yeah, well I'd never have thought of what I was doing with my cigars as a LIFO or FIFO issue, but I DO understand what they mean and when someone else raised the point in what I thought was a humorous way, I responded in what I hoped would be humorous style ... guess it didn't work so good, huh?
LIFO means "last in, first out" and FIFO is "first in, first out" ... they're acronyms that are used by accountants regarding inventory management ... in common, everyday practice, the grocery store, for example, rotates it's stock so the older stuff is moved out first ... FIFO ... if you buy some cigars and smoke them right away while leaving older ones to age even more, that's LIFO ...
