About 1-1/2 mons. ago, I bought my 2nd humi. A Savinelli Ashford Grande. Has some minor imperfections in finish, but got it on sale for $130. It is holding at approx. 70-72%. Only problem is the interior smells a little "odd". I sent an e-mail to company and they said that the interior is Beech wood. I read an article about humidors on CA website and a Savinelli was tested and they found it to have a smell caused by glues used. Now, I only have old unsmokable 'gars in it to test it out. I am a little nervous to put my good stuff in it in fear of ruining them. I have some pieces of cedar (from gar boxes) to try to fight "smell".
Has anyone had experience with this? What should I do?? HELP!!!
