My local cigar shop has gotten a shipment of a brand called battleground. one the the cigars is called the powderkeg. i've heard they are made in the states and are quite stong. anyone have any info on these.? i was gonna try one, but at $6 / stick. it's kinda pricey. they have nice boxes and lables with famous americans on them like the brick-hanauer cigars did.

you know, I wasn't thinking on this one ... because they're a manufacturer and not a direct competitor, it didn't occur to me that it was an indirect problem ...

BUT it is, and if I could delete my own response, I would do so ...

Gonz!! ... take care of that for me, would you, please?... thanks

just stand there in all your nakedness to show the world what you are made of.

toby said it should read "of what you are made."
she also said don't end a sentence with a propostition or a preposition.

I had to bring back this post. Had a Powderkeg this weekend. Strong and tasty smoke. I did figure out that there are 2 lines. The Powder Keg and Battleground. The former being stronger. They are made in the USA and from the great state of Conn. I guess I have posted a couple of times about cigars not yet offered by CB, but I get excited at a hot new find.

If anyone here knows 'mtjackscigaroutfitters' (he posts here occasionally) ... contact him.

He can get them for you ... just put in @yahoo.com after his username!

I don't think they qualify as a competitor. I think that if they offered similar products at prices which may come in conflict with something offered by cigarbid then we would have a violation. However, what I see here is simple a manufacturer.

Arturo Fuente's web site has been mentioned here many times without violation.

I feel if you linked up a site which offers a great selection, consumer variable prices, reasonable shipping and handling, and a user forum such as this, you would be advertising a competitive site. I don't see that here.

Steve, withdraw your guilty plea...we're going to take this one to trial.

Bottom line, is there has been no 'Guideline' violation here, as they are not an online retailer ... simple as that.

Exactly the same goes for the Bucanero website, as well as the official Fuente website ... and a few others that put up their sites on the web soley for informational purposes.

A competetor is one that sells their cigars online ... and that is where the line is drawn.
